Was just born vegan, in 1964 - despite being adopted into a large animal farming/eating family. I began speaking for the animals by two years old (my earliest memories). My ‘mother’ told me I was “a disgrace to the family” for not wanting to eat their animals… 🤦‍♀️ multiple times through my childhood. Had no one else to talk to back then and had to learn all of it on my own. Keep reminding the new ones that we did thrive & survive being vegans without all these processed foods also!

At 17 after a childhood of being VERY sick and after major kidney surgery, I went vegan, over 4 decades ago now, I went from being 35kg (77 pounds) to 42kg. Yup on a diet where people generally lose weight I was able to gain it for the first time in my short life. I was able to give up my so-called 'lifetime' prescription and have never looked back. No doctors visits, no sickness, no pain and lots of energy and all the benefits discussed in the vid. To all out there considering WFPB - vegan, identify your concerns and then do the research and/or reach out for support, these days the answers and support are there for you. Heck, I'm happy to share all I've been through, the challenges faced and the countless benefits gained, that in the end far outweigh the challenges with anyone genuine.

The last piece of meat I ate was in 1987. I gave up dairy a few years later. My diet is oriented exclusively towards whole grains, vegetables, fruit, and nuts. I will be 62 this year, and I have had no major health issues at all. The minor health issues I have had aren’t worth mentioning. I don’t understand why I continue to meet people who claim that my diet doesn’t give me enough nutrients. Non-monetary ways are to watch their videos, give thumbs up, subscribe, leave comments, engage. Step 4: Become an animal rights activist yourself. Speak up when you can. Specialize your activism in whatever you excel at. We need all different kinds of approaches to reach a wider audience. Step 5: We'll have a vegan world.

It`s been nearly ten years since i went vegan for ethical reasons. I am nearly sixty seven and my health has never been this good. My IBS and Asthma cleared up within weeks of first going vegan, and my immune system became the strongest it`s ever been too. I feel as though my reward for doing the right and moral thing was to enjoy all round better health, being more active and energised and a feeling of mindfulness and inner peace. What i would advise anyone transitioning to veganism is to research all the nutrients our bodies need from natural foods so as not to get deficient.

Been vegain since 2000, so that's 22 years now... ♥ I am 51 this coming June and in the best shape of my life and only getting better... I came late to the art of dance but now dance 3 hours a day , 5 days a week at pre-professional level and have the same stamina and strength ( more actually, generally.... ) than the 20-30 year olds I generally dance with... I also run a full time personal business as an althernative therapist and healer and look after many rescue animals in my home as well as also help with the stray cats in the neighbourhood... No medication taken in the last 20 years apart from 3-4 times for tiny brief moments... No chronic illness and very little illness at all actually! Just the occasional cold but actually haven't had them in a few years either... Just Covid over the holidays which consisted of 2 days of mild fever and a few days of feeling more tired than usual while I got completely better and was just like having a cold/the flu... So very little illness and no physical discomfort whatsoever, feel healthy and fit as a fiddle... I eat healthy whole foods and rarely eat vegan junk... Vegan in my estimation is a clear win win for all... ♥

I've been vegan for 5 years, and a vegetarian for much longer. I still have some adult acne popping up now and then. I still get colds in winter. I still get bloated sometimes, but my IBS has become better. Veganism does have health benefits - I'm less worried about bowel cancer, for example, but being vegan is not a catch-all fix-all silver bullet for health issues. All vegan food is not healthy - I eat vegan candy and vegan fast-food and vegan cookies and vegan ice cream... I am vegan for ethical reasons, and I think it's dangerous to promise too much. The risk is people going vegan for a while, not having any miraculous health improvements, and then going back to meat and dairy forever.

I really admire English vegan world, in China, people don’t have the same awareness, eat steak/expensive seafood and imported dairy is very popular among younger generation. But the same time, have a kind heart has nothing to do with where you come from. To eat steamed crab alive is a popular seasonal dish among many westerners in China also.

The hardest thing about being vegan is everyone else. Even my friends asked me, "where are you going to get your protein?" when I told them. And they assumed it wouldn't last, either. Now some of them have gone vegan themselves. I've been vegan since about April 2020 and went vegan because of COVID-19. I refused to fund the creation of more zoonotic pandemics. The more I learn about the USDA and FDA regulations and reports, the happier I am I went vegan. I don't know where you live but at least here in the U.S. it's legal for animals to be cannibals, even cows despite us knowing about mad cow disease since the 80's. Only certain parts of cows, though. We wouldn't want to feed them anything unhealthy. LOL Same for chickens and pigs. They are often fed the corpses of their own species and each other. If a cow died of tuberculosis, it's perfectly legal to grind it up and feed it back to a chicken someone then ate at Wendy's. There is no law against that. It's also legal to feed cows the entire corpse of pigs and horses, fur, eyes, brains, hooves, and everything. It's also legal to feed animals: urine, feces, growth hormones, and antibiotics. Giving them antibiotics is causing antibiotic resistance which will negatively affect every human on the planet. According to the USDA, cows alone have leukemia (which humans CAN get from them. It's a zoonotic disease. It's how we got leukemia.), AIDS, several strains of staph infection, several strains of strep infection, mastitis infection, and mycoplasma infection. Like Dave Gardell said, the easiest way to start out is to eat what you already enjoy eating and just take the animals out of it. Instead of eating scrambled eggs with vegetables, I made potato scramble. Oatmeal is very easy to make vegan. Instead of goulash with beef, I added extra kidney beans. Bean burritos, lasagna, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, and so many other dishes are very easy to make vegan. You can do it! Let us know if you need any advice or recipe ideas. :)

When I was in my early 40's I went to several doctors searching for an answer to why I felt so awful. I had gained almost 20 pounds, I was dizzy and tired all the time, my blood sugar fluctuated hourly, I could not think clearly. Not a day would go by that I didn't feel like I was going to pass out. I stopped relying on doctors to tell me what was wrong in 2017. If I did not have a major disease it had to be my diet. I exercised since 2008 and was pretty active. I stopped eating eggs, dairy, and meat and everything changed. 4.5 years later and I will never go back to eating animal byproducts again. I have fewer sinus issues, no colds, my mind is clearer, and I never have blood sugar issues.

Who knows what my health will be like in the future. For sure I don't suffer from high blood pressure like a lot of my friends but then I exercise a lot. Apart from Veganism I try to make healthy choices. Most important thing is to bring around the idea that most animals have a value to themselves due to their sentience so should be considered. Veganism is a great way to push forward that idea and say 'well we don't need to eat them' as a start.

Recommendations of vitamins for a Male, in my 30s, and run about 30-50 miles per week? Currently, in addition to my plant based diet I take a Garden of Life B complex, Garden of Life calcium + vitamin D, Zenwise omega 3 algae, and a Renew probiotic

I'd also make sure to keep up your iron intake as this can take a hit for runners, being male it's less of an issue, but eat lots of leafy greens and lentils. I'd also recommend turmeric and cherries (frozen are good or juice, also high in iron) for their anti inflammatory properties to help recovery. Coconut water makes a really excellent sports drink as it's high in electrolytes. Hope this is useful...happy vegan running (join vegan runners??) ✌️💚

Wow! Great way to show people who don't believe in health of the plant-based diet. I didn't tought about that in that way, that there are someone who is vegan for that many years. Now I'm flexitarian, and I have a problem to change my diet habits into 100% plant-based. I have wife which breastfeeds ours monhly son, and 2-years old doughter and I'm affraid how not to broke their health with bad proportion between macroneutritions. If it is only my health I would try and change mistakes between meals but I don't want to risk. It would be great if you can make video how to change whole family habits with small children. Todays video is showing people who decided to be vegan when was teenagers and they didn't have those dificulties.

This is what I love about vegans. The caring and spirituality. I watched some you tube stuff about carnivore diet, etc, just to see where they are coming from and there is no mention of the planet health and no empathy for the animals. It's a very selfish world in carnism 😢

Being mostly vegan (pescatarian), I felt clearly, it does raise your vibration. And the more you evolve, you naturally are not attracted to meat and instead want to raise farm animals as beloved pets. BTW, animals are evolving AND evolving us too.

At leat 30-40% of population of India never ate meat and will not ever eat. That is 400 to 500 million people. That is not counting people from other countries. So it’s nothing great to report. Point is one should be eating only plant based food because animals have rights to live. Period.

I have chronic illnesses, and cutting out animal products has helped me tremendously. But it's not a cure-all. I'm saying that because I don't want anyone to feel like they've failed because they (still) take medication. There's *nothing* wrong with taking medicine that helps you 1) live and 2) have a better quality of life. Nobody is better than you because they're healthier than you.

I was going to share this video with friends, although it is anecdotal and it doesn’t represent science or significant data, it would be a good motivation for people considering going vegan. But then it became too spiritual which is a major turn off and makes it less credible, and perpetuates a common vegan stereotype. Can you make another one of these focusing just on real world improvements only to be shared with more scientifically inclined people?

Very true. More dr. Types less spiritual types. But I got to say, my wife has gone Whole Food plant-based vegan for about a year-and-a-half now for her psoriatic arthritis and it's working incredibly well. It's the turning it into a religion type of thing that bothers me a little. She's not there yet but I see it coming.
