That's the thing these women don't really want equality, they want supremacy where they are in control of everyone not just men only but over other women who don't agree with their ideology, and for a real gender equality activist would fight for both genders and not for one particular gender only.

I am a woman and whenever I hear this toxic diatribe about men it pisses me off. I love and adore my father, brothers, nephew and husband. Heck I get along better with my brothers than I do with my sisters (who I also love but we get along a lot better now as adults than we did as children.) And just the thought of someone treating any of them the way these toxic hypocrites treat other men infuriates me! Men and women should not be treated like different species we can’t exist without each other and no one should be treated as inferior because of something they CANNOT change.

Same here. It pisses me off so much because you think that as a group of people who were historically oppressed, and still are oppressed in certain ways and places, these women would be able to empathize better with men combating mental health issues and it truly does disgust me just how heartless some of them can be while also claiming they want gender equality. To me, it seems that people like that just want and/or feel entitled to holding and abusing power over men but brand themselves as promoting “gender equality” and “women’s rights” to try and defend themselves from any criticism of their horrible actions, when in reality, gender equality is something that I would hope that all half decent people, regardless of sex or gender identity, would want to strive for. Especially with how some brave survivors have stepped forth and talked about being discriminated based on sex and/or gender, such as being laughed off by law officials when trying to find safety from abusive partners, having their struggles invalidated because they need to “toughen up and be a man”, risking loosing the right to see their child(ren) and having their lives be controlled by an abusive/neglectful mother because it’s assumed that, as a man, he caused the issue, among many others. Sorry if this comment seems slightly decoherent, I just feel very strongly about gender equality but I’d be here all day if I tried to talk about all my thoughts.

You can be proud of yourself to realize this very important fact. Sadly nowadays men and women have their minds poisoned by the media to hate each other. Past experiences and traumas are probably also playing a big role too. But we could achieve so much more if men and women would just work together. It's just sad to see so much brainwashing and hate for the other gender in this day and age. Have a nice evening.
@rustymustard7798
@rustymustard7798 Жыл бұрын
"Men" would help you or be concerned for your well being because you're a human, not because you're a woman. If males don't do these things or do them JUST because you're a woman, they're not really 'men', more like adult aged children, 'alphas' or smarmy sticky palmed reddit mod white knight types. And the same, actual men deserve that earned respect and support for their stand-up-and-have-a-spine actions, but not all males are men, so many more are becoming a pile of indoctrinated 'alpha' MGTOW mush behind a keyboard and while they deserve little respect beyond basic human decency, they sure as hell need more than a month of 'mental health awareness' to even get them to consider going from manchild to man. It's sad, both in the ramifications for all of society when gender conflict is normalized, and for the wasted potential of people of any gender in this day and age who just refuse to move beyond all the excuses they're given to not be an honest, respectful, and decent human being of any gender.

Feminism didn't help women at all, even at its start. The right to work was earned by industrial capitalism, not by activists, and the right to vote was a political ploy to earn easy votes. Most people are stupid, and that includes men and women. As if allowing 50% of the idiots to vote wasn't bad enough, now 100% of them can do it
@amarants2423
@amarants2423 Жыл бұрын
Yeah so many feminists don't care about equality and just want women to get all the benefits. Men are seen as disposable and whether or not any cares about you depends on your gender. And feminists refuse to get jobs like plumbing or learn how to fix their own damn car.

Note: We constantly hear about how men are terrible, psychotic, abusive, manipulative etc. from these people, so clearly the answer should be helping men's mental health resources which are bare bones and faulty, right? Yet the moment we try to do that, suddenly it's a bad thing for 'taking focus off of women' and 'acting like men have things so bad'. It just sends a resounding message to men: "if you aren't useful to us, we want you to suffer and die miserable"

As someone with ADHD and autism, I was mostly bullied by other kids a lot and didn't say anything because the few times I tried, said students would act innocent (An equal number of boys and girls), and the teacher (mostly women, one bad one in particular) would disregard what I had to say. So I learned that "professionals" were either stupid or didn't care, I couldn't cry when I was upset, I couldn't show any form of frustration because I'd be the one punished, so I was pushed to at one point consider committing die. Yes I had to fix myself, but I later found people who helped me a lot, taught me self care and became my biggest support network. I wish I had known the things I do now sooner. Edit: Nine months later and thank you for all the support, things have been up and down but I'm still here despite it all, it's nice to see some decent people are out there

I believe they just wanted to have topics dropped that were uncomfortable instead of talking about them, something I wish I had abide by as I have some things in my past I am not proud of and needed to remain grounded that it was fair. I needed to seek a professional and share the pressure to be rude, as well as end conversations abruptly with others. I think our family needs therapy but it's been declined. I also find it funny how everyone (even myself) rejects that our problems are majority self made past a certain point but originate from a source. I admit I have made my bed and lie in it for the stupidity of my younger years and for giving into fear. I think all that matters is just doing the best you can and making amends when possible, when it's not a possibility just keep trying to carry on. Another note anyone else get yelled that they are stupid by their own father's at around age seven or younger just for struggling at math, leading to lasting damage to self esteem and all this made worse by a religion/church that overlooks abuse as long as it isn't physical? I almost forgot to mention a school system that reinforces anger is bad even when about injustices? Mine blamed aggression coming from middle school bullying solely, excusing my father (himself) from any contribution to the problems with anger I had.

There is no shame in it, indeed the humility of admitting one's limitations is the strongest character trait I can think of. Survive the ordeal with the aid of others and be ready to pay it forward. Survive because in doing so you can serve to correct the course of another where you might have stumbled. And if nothing else, survive just to spite these useless monsters navel gazing maliciously in their internet covens.

Yup. It has been overshadowed by everything else now, almost as if its not important at all. Every gender struggles, yeah, but facts are still facts and men have been taught to be macho, never show emotions, etc. To me, showing emotions is probably the most macho thing to do, as well as the most human thing to do. If anyone of you struggle, know that there is at least someone out there thinking about you and caring about you. Don't be afraid to call a friend, your parents, or just anyone to talk to them about something.

@@krulak292 Way to twist my words broski. Thanks for showing why men don't even want to show emotions anymore. Stoicism, btw, is the act of "it is what it is". Stoicism CAN be a good thing, but it can also be a bad thing. Never showing any emotions whatsoever could make you seem like an emotionless husk and in return you can possibly forget to show emotions at all, and whatever. Emotions like happiness, sadness, anger, etc. Through my life I have had hardships where I have done nothing but feel down, depressed, like it is the end of the world. And what happened then? I talked about it and people saw how I ACTUALLY felt. So don't you fucking come here with the "mimimi only chads never show emotion" "mimimimi stop showing emotions", boomer. You're so fucking disgusting, all of you who do that, you dick on a stick. There is no limit. Be yourself regardless of what gender you are. There's no point in having to feel like you can't cry, can't talk about your own feelings, emotions etc. So yeah, maybe I'm not macho, but I am more human than you ever will be!

I've always found topics like this triggersome and hurtful as of late, since I've had the unfortunate experiences of dealing with women like this irl. Once upon a time when I did have woman friends, a lot of them used me as a shoulder to cry on when crap hit the fan or them in their lives, but immediately decide to end our friendships when they get hurt by some other man...so because of that I somehow get grouped up as a "piece of shit man" too. And now with this internet timeline we're in and women (some, most, idk) using it to proactively devalue men...it overall just makes me feel like I should just feel ashamed for just existing. Also doesn't help that I have a past record and history of un-aliving feels and moments for being born into a family that never wanted me in the first place...so yeah. DISCLAIMER though, I'm fine from watching the video. I'm just stating that these topics can be triggersome...usually, but at the moment I'm just super vibing and catching myself from going into some type of venting lol. This person really tried to say more women attempted sudoku in "less brutal methods", which basically translates to "attention". Being less lethal in a sudoku is literally counter intuitive because the lethality is THE POINT. I'm legitimately unsure if that person even realized that they had just argued that more men actually try to go through with it while more women do it for attention. But yeah these people blaming men for everything while saying men don't take responsibility for anything is just so weird. This idea that men are more viewed as victims in society is equally weird. Women tend to be viewed as the victim, even if they are actively the aggressor, and men seen as the aggressor even while they are being beaten on or viewed as weak for letting a woman beat on them despite being vilified if they were to fight back. It's a legitimate struggle to get people to care about a guy's mental health. They are shamed if they don't show emotion and try to be strong because that's toxic, but also shamed if they show weakness because they aren't being a man. Both those positions often being pushed by the same people. Most of the year women are viewed as frail victims who can do no wrong, it really shouldn't be an issue to have a month to recognize that men are people too and can in fact feel and hurt like anyone else.

3:40 Men Who Murder Their Families: What the Research Tells Us by Bernie Auchter NIJ hosts a forum to discuss the problem and the warning signs that foreshadow these events. Cases where people kill their families and then commit suicide are mercifully rare. Less extreme forms of domestic violence and child abuse are more common. Acts of partner conflict can fall on a broad spectrum, ranging from verbal criticisms to cases of a family homicide followed by suicide. The research identifies several risk factors that may indeed predict more severe domestic violence cases. In a seminar titled Men Who Murder Their Families: What the Research Tells Us, an expert panel discussed a recent spike in news reports of “familicide” cases. Panelists included Jacquelyn C. Campbell of Johns Hopkins University, author David Adams, and Richard Gelles of the University of Pennsylvania.

Hey so I'm a mental health worker and prospective psychologist, I think a lot about this stuff. What kinda happened over the past few decades is that, unintentionally, American society has formed a "stereotypical victim" and "stereotypical perpetrator". An unfortunate side effect of this is that perpetrators who do not fit the stereotype are ignored, and victims who don't are dismissed. I worked for a while in ABA therapy, and as a guy you have to be extra careful about how you carry yourself around the children. I myself followed even more strict guidelines than the RBT ethics code, in order to protect myself from allegations. Unfortunately, this did not stop several parents from taking one look at me and not wanting me working with their children anymore. But the women I worked with often skirted these rules, knowing they were far less likely to be the victim of a false allegation. The stereotype is that perpetrators of molestation are male, but there are plenty of female perpetrators, and the stereotype ends up victimizing innocent men and allowing female abusers to get away with it. This stems, again, from the broader problem; men are stereotypically the perpetrator and women are stereotypically the victim. There are other examples, including male victims of female spousal abuse, sons abused by their mothers, and most egregiously with male victims of s---al assault and r--e. The answer, however, is NOT to become a men's mental health advocate. It's to become a HUMAN mental health advocate. Firstly, it emphasizes that the reason men's mental health matters is because they are human beings, as we all are. And secondly, as the 20's bring a new set of challenges for American society, we risk just forming a new stereotype; female perpetrators and male victims. The emphasis on female societal challenges, while motivated by justice and having a good outcome for women, is what caused the stereotype in the first place, and we shouldn't make the mistake of forming a new one in it's place. So yeah, the best way to fight for men's mental health, and the disparities men can face in certain situations, is to focus on being a HUMAN mental health advocate uwu
