I've never heard of this dynamic average until today. I'm searching more information about it and your video was very usefull. Nevertheless, I have a question. If the McGinley average uses its previous value to calculate the current one, what would be the the value of the McGinley average for the very first period of the timeframe?

McGinley Dynamic is most reliable indicator but its better to add Donchian Channel indicator, Super Guppy along with Heineken Ashi candle stick Chart pattern, when the Candle stick shadow touches the Donchian Channel indicator then there is a good chance that the trend of the chart will change on opposite direction, this is the real Secret mindset, please try it really works excellent

The 50 McGinley is almost exactly the same as a standard 100 EMA and the 100 is the same as the 200.. literally just an EMA divisible by 2

always enjoy your videos... but really the McGinley is exactly 100% the same as an EMA.. A McGinley smoothed at 100 is exactly identical to a 200 EMA... I checked both my MT4 and 5. There a dozens of variations of MAs.... and none should be used solely for signal i.e crossover... They only should be used as confluences alone with other filters
