the sword thats gonna come out isnt a wakizashi/kodachi its a 1 hand sword usually used in tandem with a shield so its better they gave her the wakizashi cause she uses a katana

Yes but there's a difference between running with an AR in your hands vs A knife.... I don't know if you've ever played a sport in your life or not but imagine running without pumping your arms.... Easiest way to explain that....Same body weight but your momentum differs due to your form.
