Yeah I’d also say to people not to invest in getting their music on platforms like GRMdaily, P110, and so on, I see people pay stupid money to get less then 10k views on them platforms, paying like £300-£800 (whether you’re submitting a video you’ve made or getting them to shoot you one) These uk music platforms are oversaturated now, where as like 10 years ago you’d probably get good views and following. Artist should upload their music vids on their own channels, so that all the views, monetisation and subs are going directly to them. Also artists should create their own platforms (even if unrelated to their music), as that audience can be directed to the music, for example, I’m a producer and portrait painter, but I made a music reaction channel back in December, got monetised within a month, and got 7k subs within 3 months, currently makes like £400-£500 a month with me working on it 1 day a week. It’s also important to know music doesn’t really pay for the average person (when trying to make money solely from streaming) for you to get a full income from music streams you need to be hitting 600k streams a month on Spotify. So it’s definitely good to plan multiple passive incomes to set up as a musician and in other areas, which can all support your growth and budget as an artist
