I agree 100%. Mat does nothing for the community as a whole. Rich is still involved with a lot of community events to this day. Rich is the greatest ambassador of the sport. Mat didnt even affiliate his HWPO gym when CrossFit helped make him a millionaire.

And THIS is why Rich is the true OG of CrossFit. He's the real GOAT for many more reasons than just his 10 title wins. Mat hasn't done jack shit for the Community or CrossFit in general other than open his own gym. Matter of fact he's actually shit on CrossFit a few times on some big platforms which is mind blowing to me. He might have one more singles win on Rich, but a Rich he'll never be! Rich IS CrossFit. Without Rich, there would be no Mat. Mat said it himself, if he hadn't placed 2nd in back to back CrossFit Games, he wouldn't have changed his diet and training. Rich made Mat better. He made everyone else around him better. He put Cookeville on the map and all of the CrossFit athletes who now live in Tennessee.
