The Slaws continue their early summer holiday. As usual they are travelling in Helga their Hobby motorhome with Billy and Jessie, their Lhasa Apso dogs.
The weather remains dreadful! They successfully navigate Rouen with only a €3.70 toll and decide to sack off the free motorways for the quicker péage option to circumnavigate Orléans and head further south in search of the sun. This toll cost €34.80.
Searchforsites throws up a lovely little aire in Ainay-le-Vieil at only €5 per night. The village is delightful and there is a château to visit too!

Mileage today was 310 miles, making the total from Calais so far 379 miles.

As always, compulsive watching! Thanks for the mention of Solbio as I forgot we are almost out and off to Italy for 3 weeks in July! Used your code and came in £4 cheaper than Amazon! Have also been influenced to get tyre pressure values and a HUD for KPH as my eyes can see the dials and quick maths is a pain! Thanks for the tips and of course entertainment!

Hi yous ❤ We done France last year in early September and the weather was unbelievable. All the villages were so welcoming for Motorhomes and it was brilliant. We done loads of airs and camps. It upsets me how England are just putting barriers everywhere and not excepting us as when we’re in areas we want to spend money on local businesses and villages. We’re going back this September. Please England wake up !!!!!!!!!!! Brilliant vlog as usual ❤❤❤

Oh man, the weather ain't being kind on this trip! France seems to welcoming to motorhomes and caters for them really well. Oo we use Dock and Bay as well, amazing towels! Great vlog. We're hoping to see the sun on the next one! Cheers 🍻

Luckily the only time we messed up passing Rouen was in the car , so not an issue , like your route , will give it a go , have decided to stop off toll roads as we do when on motorbike, all for saving a few pennies and maybe some better scenery

Great vlog again Mr and Mrs slaw 6hrs is quite a gruelling drive in any country but it seemed the traffic was kind to you on your journey so far ,shame about not getting the drone up but having one myself i know the don't like rain or to much wind so look forward to the next flight so take care the gowerz Portsmouth xx ps how sweet the doggie looked telling you he wanted to come in 😊

Great to see you out on the open road again. What is it this year with the weather; a couple of weeks ago we were discussing the flooding on the Moselle. This week 5 days torrential rain in Munich and some large floods; you in France getting equally wet. It has to improve soon. Anyway enjoy and I look forward to seeing the rest of the adventures.

Hi, another great video😊 you really should consider an emovis (sanef) toll tag. Best thing I ever did. I’ve toured France a couple of times and as I normally travel alone, it’s a life saver. Not expensive to get and you’re paying the same toll charges after that. So comforting to know you don’t need to stop and confront the machines 😎 Peter

If you know the campsite you’re going to, we’ve stayed with Acsi without a card when we lost it in the middle of a trip. They can look your details up online.

Hi , just subscribed to your channel, very good it is too. Just one question, I see you have heads up display, can you you still see it when wearing sunglasses? I have it on my Hyundai Santa Fe, and as soon as I wear shades it’s gone

Hi Steve. I think it depends on which sunglasses you have. I think it might be Polaroid lenses that stop them working. Mine are ok.

We've been away for the last 2 weekends and I've asked if they take Acsi , they've said yes but no-one has asked to see my card or app scan and we've paid Acsi prices. Last weekend was Saint Jean de Luz, the campsite was full and they still weren't bothered about seeing my scan code.
