It’s the final day! Sadly the Slaw’s 16 day road trip from Yorkshire to Port Grimaud on the bay of Saint-Tropez and back has come to an end 😥

Last night they stayed at Camping Chateau du Gandspette in Eperleques, in their Hobby motorhome Helga, just half an hour away from Calais. ‪@HobbyCaravan‬

This morning the Slaws take you on a short tour of the immaculate campsite grounds, before hitting the road again for the final leg of the France journey.
The route into Eurotunnel is navigated with no issues checking in or at pet reception for their two Lhasa Apso dogs, Billy and Jessie.
All too soon the Slaws are back in Blighty and for the last time Mrs Slaw says a bientôt mes amis!

Sad that your journey is over. Never had our van over in France yet, so been watching your videos to get some much needed confidence. I was so fired up and ready to start planning our first trip ...... until I watched this video. It seems so simple to get to France using the Chunnel but so complicated to get back . I suffer slightly from agoraphobia. Could you please go back and film the Chunnel bit again pleeeeeez 🤣🤣

Thank you both for a lovely trip through France, my Husband and I got our first campervan in November having changed from a caravan. We have stayed at Ganspette many times and spent 3 days there a few years ago. The blockhouse museum is a short walk away and is worth a visit. The Beef carbonnade in the site restaurant is also worth staying an extra night for.

No fan of the tunnel, much prefer the ferry from Dover to Dunkirk by DFDS, book the premium lounge piece and quite and some shut eye for a good 1hr after shopping and food...Enjoyed your trip into France and home...has a suggestion for your future trips and the places you stay... use What 3 Words...then we can log them in the POI on our Sat Navs...great vid once again.

Ahh shame its come to an end, we stayed at grand spette on our way to Lake iseo and then on the way back stopped at Camping La Bien Assise near calais, which we thought was slightly better.... ie more going on.

Great set of videos, nicely edited and presented, we thoroughly enjoyed your trip. My brother used to go to Port Grimaud annually so it was lovely to see it in all it's glory. We were also in France at the same time but travelling down to the south west to the Gers Department staying in gites. Very useful to compare your covid advice so thank you. Looks like you enjoy your F1 racing so I would recommend visiting Angouleme for the Circuit des Remparts weekend in mid September, it's a great weekend of historic racing, checkout the videos.

Well it had to end: I knew it!!!! I did say from the beginning of your adventures that it would end up with tears, sad faces and frayed tempers, banging of doors and temper tantrums. Will that was our house! 😢What are we going to do now it’s ended; leaving a void that only “The Slaws” can fill? I know…..watch it agin!!! Happy faces. 😂😂 All smiles now in our house. Great videos as always folks loved the locations, costs and seeing a Yorkshire man squirm what told the price of a drink 🥃 for everything else this is priceless. We loved when Mr S try’s fluently speaking French with a Yorkshire undertone love it. The same as mine with a Mank undertone. Take care folks looking forward to your next adventures 👍👍👍

The last site looked lovely so straight into our search for sites list! The tunnel oh my god, I look forward with trepidation to the inevitable domestic we will have driving round and round that deserted carpark trying to find the train. We miss the French music already 😞We've loved following your trip and of course we got a mention on the TV what a surprise that was !!!! Thanks for watching Steve! We downloaded the Tous Covid French App. It allows you to upload your NHS covid pass and converts it to a French Covid Pass. We needed it in France to get into bars and restaurants. It worked really well. Hope you have a great time 👍🏻

That looked like a beautiful site, mainly because it had two Pétanque terrain pistes. I guess sat navs can only get you somewhere near the tunnel complex. Once inside your on your own. It must be a nightmare if you don't speak French. Welcome home. xx

Hope you don't mind me asking but I remember you mentioned new tyres on the front of your motorhome, and you shouldn't get stuck as easy, which make and tyre type did you fit. Thank you! We didn’t vlog going to the vets. We used the vets in Gassin before we left the South. But we’ve used the vets in Deauville before too as well. Never had an issue in France.

Looked a nice site. They have changed things around at the tunnel going to the terminal building car park first and then through French/UK cuatoms. Hopefully they will swap that as next July n August that will be rammed.

I am so sad you have finished your trip! Welcome Home and thank you so much for helping to relive the boredom of now being alone! I have so much enjoyed you both and your interactions! reminded me so much of my partner and I when the only way to get around was the set of yellow maps!! very few AutoRoute and most of the trips were on Route Nationals, or green roads to those not in the know. Thanks Maria! We had our AHC completed after the worming tablet was given in Gassin in the South of France. You have to have it done no less than 24 hours and no more than five days before entering the UK.
