Cool vid. From my experience with the dream mat you don't need to worry about too much flow. Another trick, when you get to bedrock and think it is all clean put a dive mask on and snipe the bedrock. I've found gold stuck in cracks that was never coming out by hand dredging or shovelling.

Definitely right bro! Here it’s clay bottom all super flat so you can just scrape it off so don’t need to snipe but in a bedrock river that’s the definitely the go

@@shanebabington1342 Definitely you can definitely have success there, but in a creek this small when the bottom is so flat and soft you can scrape it straight off it would be a waste of time.

Great vid guys 👍 I love my wee gold rat . When I ordered it and it turned up I won't lie I was a tad disappointed as I wasn't expecting it to be so small but wow what a unit !! Catch rate is second to none fantastic little sluice

I would have to assume that with the dream mat you would want to classify your material. If you don’t and you run different sizes of rock threw there it will change the drop zones within the mat and eventually pull your gold down to the bottom of the sluice and then out Olof the box. Try it sometime bro, you will see that it will pull gold out and down the sluice. I would classify down to 1/4 inch if I was running the dream mat.

I do agree with you and you are spot on, however this was just one bucket and the flow was so low that as you could see the gold was dropping out instantly and still would have caught 95% of it throughout the one bucket.

We do have a couple a smaller one and the mother sucker which have both worked great at this very location! Just didn’t haul them up today but yeah would’ve helped heaps! Thanks a heap 🤙👍
