Don't over think it my friend. You can do it, and you will really enjoy it!
@mrkaic
@mrkaic 2 жыл бұрын
You can do it. It's kind of "weird" (my wife joined in too, when she 'got it'..finds all kinds of things for me :)) because once you "see it"...you see it...*everywhere*. Easiest place to start: look at the "back/inside" of things, then imagine what it would look like/how "industrial" it looks if everything was covered in red primer paint. From there, the mind runs with it. Just remember: virtually anything with a lot of "layers" and "greeblies" once painted a uniform color kind of "transforms". That wall Brian did is essentially a "clinic" in the process...*he* is just so practiced at it that it looks more 'daunting' than it really is ;) Try it a couple of times, with just little parts and pieces, and the *inside* surface of a single broken electronic. It'll "come together" for you. It's *sooo* satisfying...stick with it and keep watching Brian's stuff :)

@@mrkaic thank you so much for the booster of support and offering of ideas. I think as I practice. I may start to see the magic and flow if it. So In my town we used to have this restaurant called the yum yum tree and it was the best food in town but I loved it so much because it had an old toy locomotive train always moving throughout the entire place what if you could do something like that but Star Wars like a starship or some mining carts. Its really cool Something I would really like to see is a short simple video of a walkthrough of the roombuild so far- every video only shows you how the focus is without how it connects to the whole room and it would be really cool to see the full project so far to get a better feel of it- the builds are always dope.

The sad part is projects themselves create projects of projects... :-P It is amazing how many of those I have. Bad part, I'm retired and still don't have enough time fo finish them. Lol They do remind me so much of the Gremlins. :-D Kitbashing is so fun to do. Been modeling for years and years, well a long time. Once in a while I take a bunch of Car, Truck, Semi Truck parts and just make a Mad Max something... Lol You just start making stuff work like you said that normally don't and bam! You have Something out of Nothing from nothing but parts. I have a 1932 Ford that is also a 34, 36, 49 and so 70's stuff. It looks awesome. The Rancor Pit continues. It is so awesome what you can do with foam insulation and foam board... I do wonder when you sleep, how do you get any rest with all that planing going on in you head??? LOL I already know the answer... :-P Thanks for the video! LLAP

@@TheSmugglersRoom , the only way I can think of is to insert it into a box "window" in a wall; properly set up, it would give me Illusion that you are looking through the window into a Rancor Pit. I would suggest using some sort of metal screening on the inside "side" of the window to give it a reinforced look; wouldn't want the Rancor breaking the glass and eating your guests! A great looking build, thanks. Do you run the wires for the LEDs to a common point where you can feed them from a single source (such as a utility wall-wart transformer) or do they each have their own 9V battery. I love wiring to utility transformers as it saves me from having to replace batteries all the time. The batteries last a good long while with low power LEDs but they still run out eventually.
@TheSmugglersRoom

Hi There. For this episode to test we just ran them to a 9 volt battery. But when you see the next episode you'll see that we connect them to a local power source that we will be able to turn off and on with the rest of our bench area.
