LOVE THIS! I've been using Garageband to teach myself how to produce over the last 3 or 4 years, as a drummer/musician with over 10 years of performance and teaching experience. I got into creating my own sounds using their plugins and understand how the automation works, but you still taught me a few things. Great video!!!

Glad I found this. I am coming here from Logic Pro 8 and I was perfectly happy with Logic Express 7. If I learn how to import my own drum sounds I will be most happy.

Thanks Dean. been dealing with an hp and waveform 10 11 12 for several yrs and a korg d16 for several yrs before. Never came close to the broadcast quality that GarageBand gives right out of the gate. I'm 68 and continue to Struggle with the digital realm and low rung income. Your tutoring gave me some much needed directions. I hope to see the creative gumption and inspiration come back to me. Its been waning. Helped a 86 year old "sweet wealthy lady"move. Then she decided to just give me her iMac. Happy to simply use her iPad and iPhone. This is being considered a gift from God. And your compassionate consideration is of apparently from the nature of the divining forces as well. Wishing you good fortune.

Only 1 minute into it and blown away, this is seriously a 10/10 video. The take feature is so cool, my heart was always into GB despite Logic being recommend by literally everyone I met, I want to now direct them to this video. Subb'd!

Very informative! Glad I took your course and I am getting all these extra tips. I can now see that Garage Band has so many features. I recently learned on another course the Groove function where you can have lets say a bass line grove in the style of the drums. Neat!

Thanks for the tips. In other DAWs they use side chains to clean up the effects of echo and reverb. So that while the singer is singing the effects are turned down and while the singer rest the echo and reverb are heard. I see that that can be done by automation. Cool!

Subscribed right away during i think the first or second how-to video of yours I saw last week. It’s great just you let folks accompany you as you build and compose a song. Easy-going and welcoming education style you deserve to attract a boatload more subscribers. Keep safe and be equal ! I’ll make my way through your back-catalogue.! I use iOS on an ipad Pro 2, but already released a couple of songs through CDbaby, who I recommend. Never a short process, but if you put a lot of yourself into a song and it turned out well it’s worth occasionally copyrighting in congress and using a distro/publishing organisation even just for the heck of it. Thanks again, best of luck from me in the UK.
