If Palpatine/Sidious died, would there not be a huge disturbance in the Force, and a lifting of the dark side cloud that was impairing the Jedi? I would think that would be almost immediate, and the Jedi would have figured this out.

I _much_ prefer the version of Dooku you went with. He was a man with flaws & the dark side took a steep toll on his morals and overall demeanor when it came to achieve his goals, but he never went down the drain the way a lot of other Sith ended up, making their own cruelty and ruthlessness big factors in their downfall as they just couldn't really pose as leaders for a prolonged time, their pettiness and maliciousness leading to growing resistance, creating beforehand unlikely alliances.

Here are my ideas day 11 of asking: What if Cal and Merrin had a Daughter (Jedi Nightsister hybrid)? What if Padme was enslaved during the clone wars? What if during the rescue of Han Solo Leia failed to kill Jabba and was left behind remaining as a slave? What if Din Djarain and Bo-Katan fell in love during the events of Mando season 3? What if Luke and Leia found out they were siblings earlier (like before Empire strikes back?)? Similar to the previous one, what if Luke and Leia were not separated at brith and were both raised by Owen and Baru? What if Jyn Erso survived and went on to meet and fall in love with Luke Skywalker? What if Ahsoka found Shin Hatie before Baylon Skoll? What if the Aldani Heist went fully according to plan aka the whole payroll was stolen from under the Imperial noses?

I think Anakin and Obi-Wan would ultimately decide to fight against Dooku, especially after Dooku issued Order 66. They would probably feel betrayed, and bring justice to Dooku. Yes, the Jedi Order may have had some corruptions, but there were also good Jedi who could see how the Jedi strayed away from what they were supposed to be. Ahsoka was one of them, and I'm sure there were many more, such as Plo-Koon. Dooku actually became the very thing he fought against, a Sith. His power as chancellor actually corrupted him. As Obi-Wan told Anakin during the cannon events of RoTS, "Only a Sith deals in absolutes." And with how he executed senators who were suspected of corruption, one assumes he had absolute power over his "republic". And as we all know, absolute power, corrupts absolutely.

As usual, good story. But now I have to wonder how a fight been Grievous and Palps would've gone. Would Palpatine have used his lightsaber to show up Grievous? Might he go full force power? "For all his strength and ferocity, Dooku, your mechanical pet is no match for the true power of the dark side. I'd have thought that you would understand this my foolish friend." But alas, Grievous likely was one of the few who could catch Palpatine off guard. And thus order was brought to the galaxy.

What if Yaddle was a Sith Lord. What if Yaddle ran and escaped Dooku and Palpatine. What if Obi-Wan fell into the World between Worlds and into episode 2 of Tales of the Jedi. What if Rey and Ben survived Exegol.

I feel like in 22BBY the Republic would have lost if the Separatists went full out but by 19BBY I think it was all set in stone for the Republic to win regardless of what happened on Coruscant / IH (with Palpatine's death) especially with all of the Republic fleet being directed to Coruscant, I feel like Dooku wouldnt have had the time nor space to jump far away from Republic controlled space

I really liked this one. This is how corruption dies, with gasps and screams of horror. Liberty enforced by fear for an autocrat can only will go so far though, as once said autocrat is no longer in power, all hell tends to reak loose. After all, Doku won't live forever to enforce that fear. I would love a follow up of what happens after his "retirement" many years down the line.

I really like this Dooku. An individual that genuinely who wants what's best for the people of the galaxy, and is willing to do whatever is needed to achieve that, he maybe flawed, but in the end he does good, and arguably leaves the galaxy better off.

Pretty interesting, but I just can't imagine Palpatine ever letting himself be killed by Grievous.

This is a far more believable fate for Dooku. He like many characters was too easily 'tricked' into being the exact thing he opposed. While the Dark Side may involve implementing deaths and torture as a means, the story continuity would involve ongoing goals. It would be interesting to see his empire turn on him as he sees the power he holds corrupt ecconomy through a new form of aristocracy, regardless of his attempts to stamp it out by force. In a violent culture, violence is always a means of power, active or latentent #lessons

Personal; I would have preferred this story to be canon over how Darth Sidious became emperor. But I digress. Day 45 of my list. What if; Anakin never gave into his feelings for Padme, Aayla Secura was the chosen one and became Darth Talon, Shme Skywalker was adopted by the Tusken Raiders, Boba Fett saved his Tusken family, Count Dooku was a regular count for the CIS, Jabba the Hutt supported the Jedi at the Start of the Clone Wars, and finally, what if Sabine and Ezra fell in love?

I'd like to think in this situation, when he has all the cards, he wouldn't kill the Jedi, but force them to change. Like make Yoda step down forcefully

You know it’s going to be rough when one of your favorite Jedi gets paralyzed and left to die in the first few minutes. 😭 I like how you blended elements of Tales of the Jedi Dooku with the darker version we saw in Clone Wars. You mentioned that the story would have a different ending if this were old EU Dooku, it could be neat to see a version of this story where Anikan and Obi Wan rebel against a more evil Dooku.

There is one problem here and that is the clones, they can only take orders from palpatine regardless of him being chancellor or not. Because if you watch the clone wars when palpatine says execute order 66 to Rex. Rex says yes lord sidius not yes my lord or yes chancellor.

I have a few issues with how Dooku just kills the entire jedi order, and also how he would simply deactivate all droids without any real resistance from the Good General. Grevious would need to be killed off before this scenario would work; as his whole reason for leading the separatists was the power, and the sport of killing jedi.

Love the content, but maybe explore the high republic Era a little bit, like a younger yoda. Or maybe even revan content.

I’ve always found Dooku to be grey. He left the order and joined the sith, not because he thought it was right, but because he thought it was the only way to get rid of corruption and actually help the people of the galaxy. The senate was corrupt and the Jedi blindly followed the senate, not the people. I gotta admit, a dictator taking control and following the will of the people… lives must be lost during change and having the will of the people being enforced with an iron fist is something I could support in our own world

I got a really good What If What if, it was the Senate (Especially Padme, Bail and Mothma) that found out that Palpatine worked with Dooky and is a Sith on their own terms. Maybe with some assistance from the Jedi, but mainly through their own work Or what if the Senate didn't approve of Palpatine reforming the Republic into The Empire.

If he had any foresight, he would have.

1. What if Anakin started a Jedi Civil War? 2. (Inspired by an idea by Scott Braun, so credit him please) What if Padme was secretly a force user, trained by neither a Jedi or a Sith? (The story is the same until after Naboo is taken back. Anakin and Padme confess their feelings to each other in private, and that’s when Padme reveals to Anakin her force powers. Padme convinces Anakin to keep her force powers a secret, and to pursue their secret relationship. Later, Padme tells Anakin about her troubles with certain Senate members and starts sensing they are being shrouded by a dark fog by an unseen force, which could mean Padme starts catching onto Sidious, which she tells Anakin about, which starts to make Anakin suspicious of Palpatine. Past this, Padme always uses her force powers in secret, a secret only known by Anakin, and later Ashoka. As a result, Padme, Anakin and Ashoka secretly form their own order. Maybe to add something else, Padme senses Barriss Offee’s betrayal, so she and Ashoka catch Barriss and convince her that there are better ways than the Sith…) 3. What if Mace Windu, out of being jealous of Anakin and believing he should be the Chosen One, not Anakin, secretly studied Sith powers so he could kill Anakin? 4. What if Padme and Anakin adopted Ashoka after Ashoka left the Jedi order? 5. Part 2 of what if Padme Was A Sith Trained By Sidious 6. What if Anakin left the Jedi Order with Ahsoka? 7. What if Ahsoka was executed when framed for the bombing of The Jedi Temple (I think Anakin would know Palpatine was the one who ordered that execution, and since he would, he would end his friendship with Palpatine and leave the Jedi order and live with Padme. As a result, Palpatine is now no longer able to manipulate Anakin and has to find someone else to be his apprentice)? 8. What if Dooku exposed Palpatine? 9. What if the father didn’t erase Anakin’s memories? 10. What if Dooku was a double agent? 11. What if Ventress rejoined the Jedi order? 12. What if Ahsoka was a witch (not the type of witch as a normal female force user, I mean like an actual witch) with powers like shapeshifting, hypnosis (with her eyes), flight, etc disguised as a teenage Togruta?

So Dooku creates the Knights of Zakuul 2.0, now kill all corruption in the Galaxy.

I like this, but I don't think the Republic would have lost the war. Sure dooku could destroy the cloning facilities, but then the Senate would just start drafting it's citizens into service, and probably use the reminding clone forces as instructors. Would the Republic face an economic collapse in the end? Yes. Would they lose, probably not.
