Huge explosions rocked no-man's land as disabled Russian tanks and abandoned armour were targeted by drone experts.
This comes as a Ukrainian strike overnight killed three people, injured eight and triggered a large fire at an oil storage depot in Ukraine's occupied Luhansk region, the region's Russia-installed governor said on Saturday (May 11).

@@MickeyStartraveller True but now everyone is aware of drones (everyone except Russia apparently) and everyone is investing heavily into counter measures. I think it would be a mistake to immediately get rid of all tanks for now because if some company achieves a break-through in drone counter-measures and you rely mostly on drones...your country is done. Again, I agree drones are super effective against tanks but I also wouldn't call OG military equipment completely obsolete for now.

Not sure how much you know about military but normaly you send a full unit of armour with infantry and airsupport not just a few tanks.... But russians have plenty of steel and meat so they don't mind all that much it seems. Also guided anti air ammo costs way to much to be firing at 1000$ drones they will just send more drones till you are out of ammo. The thing is there is no surviving modern war you are never safe.

@@yoachim91 you don't need military knowledge to see convenience. Jus a tank with anti air capabilities eliminates the need of infantry or specialized vehicles jus for AA defence. The cost needed for extra armor and maintenance is all eliminated if their was a on board AA system.

I said you send other types of vehicles and infantry and airsupport and ofcourse they should have appropriate weapons to deal with drones. I don't know what he would put on a tank. However you look at it it's not a good idea that is all i wanted to say. Does the iron dome not hit drones with missiles?

@@yoachim91 Not fifty cent copters with an RPG strapped to them, no..AA missile batteries are a strategic weapon, 50 cent thopters are a TACTICAL weapon..besides which this tanky had an anti drone suite of ECM clearly visible on the top, useless junk when the crew are dead it seems..
