Alternate theory on the last clip: 1. When the host dies, the game tries to confirm this with the invader before disconnecting them (e.g. to make sure the invader gets rewarded and gracefully disconnected rather than just booted after killing the host because of a bit of lag). 2. However, the connection is so bad that this "goodbye handshake" never gets through, and for some reason the host's game keeps trying rather than giving up after a reasonable amount of time. The invader never gets kicked and the host is stuck waiting to respawn. 3. The host force closes the application. As far as the invader is concerned, they're still sitting there waiting for a "death confirmation" network message and obviously doesn't receive any signal from the host to disconnect (because the app is closed). 4. The host relaunches the game and loads in. At this point, the game respawns him at the bonfire because as far as it's concerned the player was saved in a dead state. BUT the need to give an invader his rewards and kick him out obviously never happens. 5. Now, propose also that the game doesn't generate any kind of identifier to distinguish this launched session from the last, and that all the invader needs is to say "Hey, I'm still here. Here are all my details, remember?" (After all, any invasion has to start with the invader client asking to connect to the host client.) The host's game just goes "Oh, yeah, all these details seem correct. I'll just make you show up then. By the way, my player is here and has full HP" If there isn't any sort of extra validation done to make sure this is the same session then why wouldn't they just show up like normal? Under normal circumstances, this wouldn't happen because one client or the other would eventually say "Nah, I'm not talking to you any more because of XYZ" and the other player's client would receive a "get lost" message or time out after a while. But through some extraordinary lag and luck (and shoddy security/validation on the part of Fromsoft) both clients end up in a state where everything seems fine and normal, despite having completely different versions of history. The host effectively got invaded twice, with the invader seeing it all as one invasion where they were never rewarded for killing the host the first time and then he got a "free respawn."

That number one spot gives new meaning to "Killed by lag".

For number 8 it wasn't a hacked item, we actually had a host stuck there in the plunging attack animation dealing constant damage around him. And you couldn't see it because the host died before the invader joined the world, for some reason if you die there while doing a jumping attack you become immortal but you can't move at all

When the lag is so powerful that it allows you to break the rules of the game.

In Number 8, that damaging item isn't actually the item doing it, it's a glitch that allows the host to turn invisible while doing a plunging attack in the hole behind the item, and the invaders and all that cannot see or damage the host no matter what they do, trust me on this, I watched plenty of Sushi Rainbow's trolling videos. P.S I think he changed his channel name to Zekkai.

Number 5 makes me think that someone wanted to makes an “art pice” so to speak, more for the wow-factor than any kind of invader trap. I half expect that there’s a message that’s been hacked to say “Please enjoy” as they appear in the location.

The strangest thing that has ever happened to me was like 4 years ago, maybe more I was playing on my xbox360 Dark souls 2, I didn't own any DLC so I had to get the dlc stuff by trading, and I really wanted the Majestic greatsword, One night a dude I fought with in the Brotherhood of blood arena friended me and gave a lot of dlc stuff, except the majestic greatsword, I was very grateful... and he left the world.... after so many loses in that arena, one time I happened to came from a duel and I noticed an item "apparently a dropped item" next to the Nemha statue, the item looked like a bag when you drop useless stuff like rubbish, throwing knives, souls, etc... So I was so curious I picked it up... and my Jaw dropped from seeing it was the Majestic greatsword, dropped in the dueling area of brotherhood of blood, in that area you can't summon , be summoned or invaded, so I was very confused and happy, and to this day I keep the stupid theory the majestic greatsword chose me. ( as a side note , after that I started winning all my matches managing to achieve rank 3) also it is my main weapon. Thanks

In dark souls 2 i've experienced almost the exact same thing and in the same area as nr 1, only when i was killed and relogged the game was back to normal, and i have been tossed off the bridge by that demon 10/10 would recommend

Here’s my theory, the invader was able to use a glitch where the game thought he was a host, hence the reason why he was still in the world after the host left. But that’s just a theory... A GAME TH- Ok, I’m not gonna use that dead meme

why does the NBC heal at the end 12:57 was that in Dark Souls 2 was it because he was low HP I just don't remember a NPC that would kill you and then he'll heal I believe it was caused by lag the point where it was so broken that he kept dying over and over again and the game probably couldn't register kicking him out of the game I think it had to do something with the auto saving function in the game and how he was dying over and over

The last one has simple explanation. Host restarted the game, but the server he was connected to didn't noticed that. So when he logged back fast enough, game connected him again thinking that he's still in middle of invasion. The invader was still on the server and might be the one who caused whole lag at first place

Egnigma152 is my friend and everytime we play dark souls 3 he always hits me 30 seconds after he swings it wasnt intentional lag his internet is just really terrible shout out to him though for making it on sunlight blades video 😂!!!
