This is Ryan. I have one of those Honeywell table fans except mine is white. I have 2 Vornado flippi fans. One of them is black and the other one is orange.

Why does the Honeywell HT-809 look like it has one massive blade at 1:15?

It’s the lighting condition that’s causing that effect. Due to the intense light level from the sun, the camera dials up the shutter speed. The combination of rotating blades and a high shutter speed causes each frame of the video to capture a distorted image of the blades. That results in that visual effect where the blades appear stretched and out of proportion. That’s one reason why I don’t like to film fans outdoors on a sunny day. I did that once for the Holmes HAOF-1200 and it didn’t look good at all.

Cool collection! I only have 2, but planning to get more. One of the honeywells I have ( idk which one sence lost box ) and I have a palmaire stand fan. I plan to get a 1980s fan with translucent blue blades, and a 1920s-1950s ge fan. Ps. I love the 1972 box fan you have I also wanna get that

Thanks! A collection has to start somewhere! The 6” Garrison at the beginning started my collection. I’m sure you’ll grow your collection over time! Fun fact: the 1972 Monarch Aire box fan is extremely yellowed from sun exposure, hence the orange-brown colour. The grilles originally would have been crisp white!

Turbine it must be a little 6" fan. They're good fans. I'm not an expert on Windmeres, but I know they also made 6" oscillating desk fans.

KZfaq's algorithms for video recommendations can be wonky lol. I get that question a lot; but virtually anything vintage could be considered collectible. I honestly can't state a specific reason why I collect fans, but it's always been an interest of mine.

If im not wrong .. but I think that that Monarch Aire is rare , whats the history behind it ? Ps .one of the best colections I ever saw I think that the yellow oscalating usb wan looks a bit ugly but in the same time very cool !

The Monarch Aire isn't too rare, although they aren't the most common box fans. Monarch Aires were mostly sold in the US and Canada, and were manufactured by Berns Air King. They made metal blades box fans in the 60s and plastic blade box fans in the 70s. Glad you liked the video! Yeah the USB oscillating fan is rather an odd one.

Vann Berg ohh, Super is the Canadian version of SMC fans. Since you're in the US, try looking for the SMC 6" fan. It's basically the same Fan as this, but branded SMC.
