Your way of dealing with the wool is a great method. Keep it going!!. Love the ida of self shedding sheep.

All that wool going to waste and that you can’t get any money for it makes me really sad. Wool is so much better than synthetics. Where I am, I can’t find any wool sheep farmers, wool is hard to come by, expensive (understandably so), and I would LOVE to have wool blankets, mattresses, insulation, and wool to hand spin.

It genuinely makes me sad too. So many things you can make for sure. What is wrong with the human race. I used to love laying on a full wool sheet, just so amazingly, blissfully comfortable. Think of all the futons, cot mattresses and soft furnishings that could be filled even if no one wants to wear wool any more. I love the fact that you take notice of nature along the way. I was quite excited to see a lesser spotted woodpecker parent feeding a fledgeling yesterday, the last time I saw one was about 50 years ago.

Morale seems low over the wool situation- understandably so!- so just wanted to let you know that yours are the only videos I fully watch the ads for- even when they're shite 😅 Also Indy on the sheep herding is absolutely incredible. Some dog that! ❤ Appreciate the effort of the owl footage too. Wishing you & Zoe the best for this exciting new chapter x

At NZ Feild Days a few weeks ago a company called Fleecegrow was there - they have a website and are doing well in turning the wool into alternative products - one of which is to grow hydroponic tomatoes in sheeps wool and they have started that with NZ largest tomato grower - they have also made wool packaging - like the UK, NZ wool is worthless and cost more to get rid of than take it to the wool board - we either find alternatives or go to hair sheep like NZ has imported from Australia - called the Australian White

Another scandal that's gone on for decades is so as you pointed out. So many users, especially when sustainability is supposedly such an issue! Thing is it would mean they have to pay the farmer, so sustainability is not possibly in this case! Sustainability only works where the corporations are involved. Funny that!

Yup, that’s the world we live in. We have recycling where I live, oh but you have to wash and clean the containers you recycle and you get no cut in the price of the water you use to clean the garbage/recycle! Oh I hope the eggs are good and hatch, that would be wonderful, fingers crossed. Loved the footage of the owls! Incredible!❤❤

Depending on the area you live could try and sell the fleese to ppl that grow veg at home, as it can be sold as a natural and organic slug detterent that will also act as a mulch so the soil doesn't loose much moisture. 20 quid a fleese especially how more young folk are getting into gardening and are on that organic growing ways

With the state of the world you would think sheep's wool would be wanted by recycling companies or even insulation companies. This country was built upon the wool industry, it is still such an important product in the making of good quality long lasting wool carpets that only the rich can afford. If more carpets were made of wool carpets would not need to be replaced so often and all the chemicals used in making synthetic materials for carpet, so it's a win win if wool was made more accessible to more people. Our farmers are fighting a constant battle with so many factors and it's a shame the isn't an organisation that actually works with the farmers and not just rob them for their own greed. Thank you every single farmer for your dedication and passion in producing everything you produce, my fingers are crossed that next 6 months is huge improvement on the weather so you all have a chance this year of producing your products.

love that fence... i am stealing this idea for sheep and animals haha. well could cross breed with a hair breed ram instead of wool breed and few gen down the line little to no wool if you keep using hair ram until you are without a wool and swap in ewes that have less wool.

Your well situated to be sell the wool as an organic slug detterent that will also act as a mulch to help keep moisture in the soil and stop weeds from growing. And if you can get into these eco friendly home veg/flower growers eyes, with any lucky it could be sold at a profit and at worst breaking even

just stop using those animals if you actually care about them which is really illogical considering it is a farm that gains profit off of their torment and misery (a big oxymoron if you ask me) just turn your farm into an animal sanctuary if you actually love those majestic and gentle creatures it doesn't have to be what you were always taught to believe it needed to be trust me people are starting to wake and more and more people are actually starting to make the change because they realized the real value of these animals and it isn't in what they can offer us (IT'S NEVER IN WHAT THEY CAN OFFER US) AND IT IS NEVER TOO LATE TO CHANGE this industry is the actual definition of malevolence and you KNOW IT

@@Roosmarijn035 I know but what about God do you owe him anything Ecclesiastes 3:19 19 Surely the fate of human beings is like that of the animals; the same fate awaits them both: As one dies, so dies the other. All have the same breath [al; humans have no advantage over animals. Everything is meaningless. And also Jesus's brother Was indeed a vegetarian can you please imagine for a second how could (Jesus) slaughter a lamb How are you going to explain to him the simple basis of what your industry stands upon how this industry segregates a child from his mother so that we could use their milk to make some money for our selves instead and eventually when their death is more profitable than their life (Well you know the rest)and how cold blooded they’re killed )
