Dr. Terry Harman the Tabernacle Man
Video presentation on the Tabernacle of Moses and the 5 Levitical Offerings or sacrifices. Discussion to the Hebrew word Korbon often translated into English as "sacrifice." In English translations the meaning of korbon is missed. Korbon means, "to draw near to." The offerer is bringing a tangible representation of the heart-felt conviction of wanting to draw closer to the Lord.
JPS Tanakh 1917
1And when any one bringeth a meal-offering unto the LORD, his offering shall be of fine flour; and he shall pour oil upon it, and put frankincense thereon. 2And he shall bring it to Aaron’s sons the priests; and he shall take thereout his handful of the fine flour thereof, and of the oil thereof, together with all the frankincense thereof; and the priest shall make the memorial-part thereof smoke upon the altar, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD. 3But that which is left of the meal-offering shall be Aaron’s and his sons’; it is a thing most holy of the offerings of the LORD made by fire.
4And when thou bringest a meal-offering baked in the oven, it shall be unleavened cakes of fine flour mingled with oil, or unleavened wafers spread with oil.
5And if thy offering be a meal-offering baked on a griddle, it shall be of fine flour unleavened, mingled with oil. 6Thou shalt break it in pieces, and pour oil thereon; it is a meal-offering.
7And if thy offering be a meal-offering of the stewing-pan, it shall be made of fine flour with oil. 8And thou shalt bring the meal-offering that is made of these things unto the LORD; and it shall be presented unto the priest, and he shall bring it unto the altar. 9And the priest shall take off from the meal-offering the memorial-part thereof, and shall make it smoke upon the altar-an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD. 10But that which is left of the meal-offering shall be Aaron’s and his sons’; it is a thing most holy of the offerings of the LORD made by fire. 11No meal-offering, which ye shall bring unto the LORD, shall be made with leaven; for ye shall make no leaven, nor any honey, smoke as an offering made by fire unto the LORD. 12As an offering of first-fruits ye may bring them unto the LORD; but they shall not come up for a sweet savour on the altar. 13And every meal-offering of thine shalt thou season with salt; neither shalt thou suffer the salt of the covenant of thy God to be lacking from thy meal-offering; with all thy offerings thou shalt offer salt.
14And if thou bring a meal-offering of first-fruits unto the LORD, thou shalt bring for the meal-offering of thy first-fruits corn in the ear parched with fire, even groats of the fresh ear. 15And thou shalt put oil upon it, and lay frankincense thereon; it is a meal-offering. 16And the priest shall make the memorial-part of it smoke, even of the groats thereof, and of the oil thereof, with all the frankincense thereof; it is an offering made by fire unto the LORD.

Thank you so much for this teaching. I am both convicted and humbled by understanding the significance of these sacrifices. I am going to pray about how I can make a better offering of myself to LORD to show my devotion and love and appreciation for what JESUS Christ has done for me. Thanks for the informative video. Since Christ shed his blood we no longer have to do slaughter of animals... but can we still do the grain offerings?? Or would it be unlawful? Before there was a temple and before Moses was given the law, they would make altars and make offerings. Can we make an altar out of earth or uncut stone and make a grain offering? Or did Christ sheding his blood put a stop to that as well? Thanks...

Thank you so much for your great teaching which brings the ideas and practices of ancient Israelite sacrifices to life. Hi Terry Hope you are well. What a superb youtube channel you have set up with such helpful visual material on the tabernacle. I disciple a group of 5 lads in Scotland each week and am working through the bible. We are soon coming to the tabernacle and I am looking for great visual resources to use as part of a presentation with them. I was wondering if I might be able to purchase some HD Photos of the tabernacle furniture that you have? The models you have produced are fantastic, I have to say. Many thank Terry and keep up the good work. Yours in Christ Mark Rodgers Scotland, UK

Can meal offerings still be made in the way described in 2. Leviticus? Perhaps on a self built altar? 🤔 I am currently reading about the feasts such as unleavened bread, which I am trying to observe, and it says to make food offerings for 7 days.
@TheTabernacleMan

You could do this but it would be more of a reenactment. It’s a matter of the heart. Jews still practice feast of unleavened bread as Passover

I live in the United States so I am not familiar with Temples in London. If you want to see what the grain and flour looks like you might try a store that sells organic flour and whole wheat kernels. My teaching are illustrations to help us in a modern world to understand what the Bible is depicting.

How were the disciples of Christ able to pluck wheat and eat it on the Sabbath? If the wheat was hard kernels they would have had to stone grind before eating. According to scriptures they ate as they walked through the fields. However David ate the shewbread after it was made.

@TheTabernacleMan
@TheTabernacleMan 11 ай бұрын
Rabbits are not considered kosher in Judaism due to several reasons. According to Jewish dietary laws, or kashrut, only certain animals are considered clean and permissible to eat. The Torah lists specific criteria for land animals to be considered kosher, including that they must have cloven hooves and chew their cud.

The earth is the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof; The world, and they that dwell therein; 2For He hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods. 3Who shall ascend into the mountain of the LORD? And who shall stand in His holy place? 4He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; Who hath not taken My name in vain, and hath not sworn deceitfully.

I can see your effort to present on these days what's happening and how the Offerings and the meaning of it was, for the people and for The Lord, but something scratches my brain when you minimize ''It is a thing most holy offering of the offerings of the LORD made by fire''...when you mention so many times about the poor people doing this Offering!... As far I learn about David and his life and his way to live and his connection with The Lord, I do believe, David will bring for offering a lot of meat for people eye for himself and do not look cheap in people eye, but in the same time will bring a lot of grain or meal offering just because he knows for sure Meal or Grain Offering is the holiest and the most important! So, if ay man was very rich and he will bring his offering at the time and he will bring a lot of animals and he will not bring the meal or Grain Offering he will miss something very important!... ''most holy offering of the offerings of the Lord made by fire'' at that era! You and your team doing a very good job for us to understand more about it!..thank you!

I do not understand your question. To my knowledge no one, Jews or Christians follow these particular dictates. The relevance? Well since people read the Bible I believe they also would like to see what was happening during that period of time. Its about understanding what we read.
