The plot twist with the basoon cleaner was amazing

I love how everything in this show, for the most part, fell together nicely and just made sense. The killer and their story made sense, it wasn't just some random character thrown in there. There was enough twists in it that kept you interested as well. The ending leaves just enough questions to keep you hooked without undermining the rest of the story.I love a good mystery.

The way that fandom was portrayed in this show was so accurate it's almost painful, and the silent episode was by far one of the best of the entire season

The generation gap was one of the most endearing things about this show & finally baby Gen-Zer's who hadn't been introduced to the comedic genius of Steve Martin & Martin Short got to see them in a wonderfully, odd show, being their hilarious selves.

i did not expect to love this show so much, but the dynamic between the characters is everything!

I loved Only Murders in the Building. Not only has a great plot, but so gorgeous! Not only that, but i loved that they represent older people in a nicer way, not pretending that your life is over after you turn 40

I thought Steve Martin was gonna be the funniest in the group, but Martin Short was hilarious in most of his scenes and so effortlessly. The back and forth between Selena and Steve was also very funny

I love this show for giving us the trio we never thought we needed ! Also they portrayed fandoms so accurately! I would go on Reddit after watching each episode and there would be threads full of people gathering clues and discussing details of the episode! It was so much fun to read all the comments!

I love this show so much and at first I was suspicious about the dynamic being two old men and a young woman, but it worked out perfectly and they’re basically like her platonic life partner dads, I’m glad nothing weird happened between any of them (considering most Hollywood pairings) and their relationships was kept wholesome and supportively. Steve, Martin and Selena all have great chemistry together.

I loved everything about this series. The characters, the plot was fun, the fashion and decor. But what I loved most is what you wrote about, in a world that is seeking to divide us because it's more profitable if we hate each other. this show went against the other way and said we've all got more in common than you think and did it around a cool murder mystery with all the clues on display and with some very funny moments. I am counting down the days until season 2. PS anyone else want to redecorate their house to look like Charles apartment? Sincerely Wwaxwork Esquire.

One of the most important themes i felt in this show was about how lonely we all feel in our individual apartments, which makes us easy targets for bad people.

to see something new with Steve Martin again after so long without anything from him is wonderful

Martin Short stole this show. I also appreciate that Steve Martin was toned down. Selena Gomez was such a random choice, but she worked well and her acting choices contributed to her character's mystery. I really loved the scene in the tattoo parlor as well as the living room when they invited the fans in. I have to say that the body double character's interaction with Oliver was the hardest I've laughed all year.

“Why would she be reading it fearfully by herself” brings back the dan is gossip girl flashback. Maybe the writers did not want it to be jan but will decide at the last minute that it is her. In all seriousness, the writers are more intelligent and creative (don’t at me) than the gossip girl writers, but the parallel is funny.

Oh! I hope that’s the message audiences get out of this 🙏🏽 As an only child (with older parents) I always felt at home with people older than me, and there really is so much to be learned and shared with our elders.

First, I want Steve Martin's apartment. Second, being a 'boomer' I'm so happy to see a show with cross-generational characters. My husband and I have many friends in our age group and younger than us (by 35 years) and absolutely love these dynamics. We shutter when some friends tell us they are moving to 55+ communities and say to each other, "Why would you want to be around nothing but old people." We love their energy and they love our stories and as one couple said our sassiness, to which I replied, "We're old we can say and get with more." 🤣 We are huge fans of "Only Murders in the Building"! Can't wait for more.

My theory about the note on Jan's door was that it was from someone who knew she was the murderer or at least up to something and season 2 will reveal that had something to do with Bunny. It's threatening her about the murder itself, not her/the group's investigation of it. That's why she plans the stabbing.

This show is wonderfully charming. I can’t explain it but, so addictive.

can Jan be related to the Dimases? I think that was why Jan was trying to diverge accusations made on the Dimases. I'm pretty sure the note Jan received about being watched was definitely from the deaf guy as we have seen him watching people from afar before. And maybe she also murdered Tim Kono because Tim was about to give away the actual culprit for the girl's death and Jan didn't want that to happen? Can Jan possibly be the deaf guy's mother? Am i missing something here?

I love this vídeo so much. I used to search for aprooval from older people and i accidentally formed lovely friendships when i got rid of that. My mom, aunts and grandma teased me for having friends their age in various groups and opportunities. One of the more lasting friendships i've had, it's with the ladies i paint and make arts&crafts with. They are mostly older GenX or young baby boomers, and the few men that were part of the group, are usually baby boomers too. And even tho they struggle with technology and think differently about feminism, sexuality and gender, we connected well and it stayed like that! I've distanced myself from painting with them during the pandemic and bc of university. And the fact that i cosume much internet does not help bc of the "generation war" thing. But they are family to me, and i miss them and i hope we hang out and paint togheter soon again.

This is one of he best shows I've seen in a long time!! I'd almost given up on TV, especially after the horrid 9 Perfect Strangers. But this show was smart and knew where it wanted to take you. So lovely.

Steve Martin's best project since Roxanne. Silly, sophisticated, funny and heartfelt. Although I must say he and and Martin Short have worked together so often now I'm beginning to wonder what Short has on him.

I'm pretty sure it's going to end up being Poopy, her and Tina fey are mysteriously they're at the time of arrest. Only after they're involvement in the show did Jan get that message at her door. And poppy has motive, by trying to impress, or is trying to get back at Tina Fey's character. Either she idolizes her or she is going to get her back for taking her credit. We shall see if I am right. And it also would explain why Tina Fey's true crime podcasts are the best and most popular she's either willingly or unwillingly makes them more interesting with her and Poppy's involvement.

Also Mable threatens Bunny the scene before she is found dead...now I do not think that Mable did it. However, whoever heard her say that knew it was a window of opportunity and could easily blame Mable.

The Kitty Genovese attack is more urban myth than fact. 38 people did not "witness" the attack. Most of those 38 were unaware anything was happening at all. 2 were on the phone to the police. After the attack, a woman did try to treat Kitty's injuries.

I have love Steve Martin since I was a kid. I had every one of his albums and listened to them daily for years. I also watched him on SNL from it's beginning when SNL had the first and best cast members. Steve was on it like 27 times. I also watched it because it was one of the few places you could see your favorite bands Like Blondie play. No MTV back then. I was watching with all my friends when MTV first hit TV. The very first song was "Video Killed The Radio Star" and they only had like 15 -20 videos in it's rotation. Good times. Everyone was in love with VJ Martha Quinn

I really enjoyed this series and look forward to the new season, as someone mentioned the voice over when female did remind me a bit of gossip girl, that and the New York setting. But it was a lot better and a totally unique crime dramedy. It is light but also has a some depth to the characters. Easy to watch definitely funny. Good job 👍

What if generation "gaps" have more to do with the actual age and maturity of the people, rather than any of the symptoms exhibited? What if the issues "causing" clashes did not exist? Would some other issues would be used regardless? Can any person in any generation find something to blame other generations about? Do most people just live their age? And have no (or little) recollection of any other age they've lived? I've had a close relationship with a woman half my age for 20 years now. I've learned so much from her, just as a person. And, she says, she from me as well. Neither of us would be where we are right now, without each other.

I loved everything Steve did and have memorized most of his jokes because I heard them so many times in high school. It almost cost me my marriage once. I kept telling my wife about how I was a superior Being and we all escaped from our planet and came here on the giant space Ark. I would say how do you not remember that? Our planet was dying and we had to come here on the space ark remember and the government said not to tell the stupid people because it might effect..........AH Never mind. She made me go to her therapist with her and when she had the Therapist ask me about it I looked her dead in the eye and said ' I don't have a clue what she is talking about " "She is safe to be around right?" My wife refused to speak to me for 3 entire days because the therapist believed me. We've been together for over 28 years now and thankfully my wife has never asked me to go to the therapist since then so it worked. BTW: Steve only told this joke about the Space Ark on SNL Oct. 23rd. 1976 at 1.03.12 just before the end of the show.

Please stop misrepresenting the Kitty Genovese murder as a tale of morally apathetic neighbors. That story is deeply complicated and Kitty deserves better than to be used in this way. There's a great episode on that story from the Podcast "You're Wrong About", listen if you're interested
