So basically, every time a celebrity is on the red carpet and you think to yourself, "Man that dress is so f**king ugly. Who on earth thought that was a good idea?" It's not completely the celeb's fault... To be honest, if I was getting 200k a year and ended up on the worst dressed list, I wouldn't be mad about it. I would just be laughing all the way to the bank.

I think tabloids and those daytime gossip talk shows actually know this, but perpetuate some semblance of choice by criticizing the celebrities themselves instead of mentioning the designer or management. It’s always “Ew why is the actress wearing this, she’s so dumb” rather than “ew why did management force her to wear this?”

It's unfair for the rookie brands or designers that are just starting up and have not enough funds to pay for artists. This is one of the reasons why these popular brands continue to rise and constantly be in great demand while the other new and deserving brands or designers always get ignored and pushed aside. I hope the truly rich celebrities will buy their own apparel and feature young designers from newer or unpopular brands that deserve recognition

I'm sure these big brands started of at the bottom to climb they way up as well, and they didnt even have social media to do so. But you can't expect someone to work for you and give you free publicity all the time. Plus if something is wrong the outfit people usually like to point finger at the artist rather than the stylist or designer so you can't blame celebs who just want to invest their time and image in something trust-worthy. Yet, I've seen celebs giving recognition to smallest brands from time to time as well so Its not like in never happens.

@@sunrose1535 celebs have so much influence to the general public and because of these people, they easily make money. They should atleast be grateful by showing their authenticity, their real personalities in all aspects even in fashion to the people who follow them. It's sad to know that most celebs' fashion taste are not their own but are bought by these big brands. I admire those artists who are not under any contract and can freely choose to wear which style or brand they like. There are a lot of new designers, new brands that do deserve recognition because of their exquisite work but because they are not popular, they always get overlooked because the public's attention are all set to these big celebrities wearing these big brands under a long term contract. If it wasnt for the money, i am not even sure they'd wear their creations.

You didn’t mention how much the celeb has to pay their stylist and glam team. This eats severely into any monies earned. I’m not saying they don’t take home any cash but it is very very expensive to have a team to look that good.

@@Pb-rw7gs they are paid if they look good and many of them personally are not excellent at putting on their own makeup. Makeup artists have to be trained. There is a reason why people hire or ask someone to do their makeup on their wedding day. My sister did my makeup but she had thousands of dollars going into make up school while I was in college. I chose to get two degrees and she chose to learn makeup. For these stars it is more lucrative for them to pay makeup artists rather than invest the time in themselves doing it.

They get paid to be on the red carpet!! what kind of bullshit is that. if 1 of them...just 1 would donate that cash they could open a homeless shelter or something useful to help people get off the streets. it would get them started and sustain them for at least 2 years. By then a plan could be in place that it could sustain itself. imagine if they all Donated that money. they could all pick a city and do some real good. Any kind of facility...kids programs...rehabs...no kill shelters. whatever they would want. what a waste of money. idk why I even care but this bothers me. I had no idea they GET PAID. wtf
