Hey Chaps! Would you want a TV/Monitor combo??

i remembered a time when a 32" TV was considered a BIG TV already... now, 2021, 32" is an IDEAL MONITOR size for PC... Anyway, this is a great gadget if you need an all-in-one monitor that wont take up so much space. Ideal for dorm, small room, or if you just need an extra monitor that you can put it anywhere around your hose without any external stuffs.

I'm not the biggest samsung fan but one thing i've noticed and surely appreciate is the fact that samsung does not tell people how to review their products or pick reviewers who r fanboys and only have positives to say, they listen to consumers complaints to and fix them, heck they even let their workers own iphones...all these are things apple would never do

This monitor has been a life saver. We have 3 computers for a family of 4. We all have samsung phones (S8, S9, S21). I use Dex or remote in to my office desktop when all other computers are in use.

Kind of wish all monitors had these features. Can't really cost them that much to implement.

The USB C port does allow charging, at 8:00 it does say 65W.

I've been getting sick and tired of the 'HD Ready' resolution TVs that are the only 32" TVs officially available for us to buy here in Singapore, and so I was thinking of buying a Samsung Smart Monitor to use as a TV with a Full HD or higher resolution display. A built-in DVB-T2 tuner isn't important to me as I have pay TV. However, even though I'm able to get meWATCH on it (Mediacorp's equivalent to BBC iPlayer), as well as KZfaq, Netflix, Disney Plus, Spotify, and TuneIn Radio (I tried a relative's Samsung TV and a retail demo at a Harvey Norman store), that kind of display AND only 2 HDMI inputs, plus the possible lack of Samsung's universal control feature, leaves me to look elsewhere for a better bedroom TV. I might even be fine with using a computer monitor + HDMI switch as a TV, even though that would mean I have to get out of bed in order to change the brightness unless I use some kind of microcontroller setup that would hook into the front panel PCB. Besides that, another option I have would be to import a 32" Full HD TV from the UK via a package forwarder. Samsung TVs sold in the UK seem to only allow UK or Ireland to be selected for the Smart TV region, but I've seen a hack that could allow me to bypass that, get into a service menu, and forcefully change the Samsung Smart TV region to Singapore to be able to install meWATCH, or, you know, I could find something running Android TV instead.

The Built-in USB-C port and the Airplay feature are the two things that convinced me to get this monitor since I'll be using it with Macbook

I think the remote is a good selling point. Not so many monitors ship with a remote these days.

This is a dream tv /monitor I love to have. It meets the need of a basic home and office. The price is good.

I was looking at this, but ended up opting for the LG 32 inch ergo display. I wish this review was out a few weeks ago though, this may have swayed my decision a bit.

Thanks for the good review. I agree with everything you said. My Apple Cinema Display died and though I will eventually get it repaired I bought the Samsung as a stop gap for work. Initially I bought an LG HD but returned it after a few days and upgraded to the Samsung. The colours are not as rich as the Apple display, but at the price ($699 AUD) it is still really good and usable. Sound is fine for a workspace and I really like the remote. Overall, I am a happy customer.

just bought mine, couldn't be happier, Microsoft flight 2020 never looked better to me. Im sure it would if i spent another $500 But seriously this display is awesome for the price and lets be honest no matter what you buy now, in 1years time there's gonna be something better for another $500 etc etc. Get it NOW its great

I think this is what I need. Home office is going to have to turn into a nursery so will need to move the office into the spare room. Desperate for something that can be used as a TV. Tried using my existing Samsung Monitor and though it’s a decent size it just feels wrong watching shows or playing a PS4 game. I think this is the one!

This is an amazing monitor in my opinion because for many years I've been using an old TV from like 10 years ago and the most it can do is 720p 30fps I bet there is a big change.

Hi, can we use it as a standard computer monitor connecting any Desktop computer or a TIny PC?

I would go for this as an overhead monitor and replace an older 40inch TV which I watch from bed. I wouldn't use the cloud productivity apps since I'd just use my main computer, but I would use the streaming apps.

Just got one at Best Buy for $299. I'll be using it for editing and VFX but I'm somewhat colorblind and for color correction I'm highly reliant upon scopes and meters. I also have a 27" qhd monitor that has better color options. The size and it being 4k is an awesome upgrade for having more room for my workspace windows.

Isn't the TU87F the Thunderbolt version you say they should have? I just picked an M7 up and I'm happy enough with it that I just ordered a second one! (I don't need Thunderbolt as both will hang off docks)

I like the comic cover intro image! I should add that I use a basic 6 year old Samsung TV as my ZOTAC Computer monitor. I purchased it originally to use as a large screen Chrome Mirror for my Samsung Edge. This never worked without crashing so the $99. TV was drafted as my travel monitor. I have vastly superior Integrity and Shap TV.s. However the Samsung is more easily moved around and has proved to be remarkably rugged.

I appreciate being able to cast to the TV. Don't have a laptop or desktop connected to it no streaming device either.

By built in office 365, do you have to still pay the yearly subscription for it? or does the smart monitor itself actually come with it? Its a STEAL if it comes with it. Im actually interested in this monitor either way. ooh and what is the refresh rate? Thats something id like to know.

Seems like a nice 2nd monitor in most gaming setups. One qhd 144hz for gaming and then this one for streaming content or watching videos

This is getting close to what I want but the poor angles, and lack of thunderbolt means I will wait. Ideally I would like 32 inches plus curved with thunderbolt and USB C connectivity. Happy to lose the smart features and speakers for a better screen quality.

Tbh I can't afford every single tech you've had reviewed since day 1.

The USB C connection charges your laptop also. I use it with my Mac and haven’t charged my laptop since.

I know wireless is the way to go forward but Ethernet is still the best way to achieve fast internet. Missing it in any "streaming" device is a sin. Hope my type C to LAN converter works on this.

Hello, I got this monitor about a month ago and I love the monitor with one exception.. the audio doesn't always play from the monitor to my laptop when I have this playing using the USB-C cable provided and also tried a thunderbolt cable with no luck... Does anyone else have this issue? or if you haven't had this issue, what is your wiring set up? I hope to hear back from someone.

This really is catered to home offices workers and uni students where they are on a budget and don't have much space for both a TV and monitor. I might pick it up but I would probably need to see the screen quality in person. I might prefer spending more on a higher refresh and better colour accuracy.

Since i start M1 Mac Mini i got this monitor too. To add a little info if you use M1 chip on your mac that means SSD 's are sealed to motherboard. And those SSD s running out very quickly when you use write and delete too much data in small period such as streaming service videos. They contain too heavy data. To protect your m1 mac or laptop, you can choose this monitor, because of it can be useable without PC or Laptop.

Yes, it has speakers and a single stand down the middle, most tv that size have two peg legs- at least you can set this monitor on top of your Xbox or pS

You didn't mention if you can watch media from memory sticks. Fairly important feature for some. also can you only screen mirror if you have a Samsung phone?

Bought this monitor at Best Buy here in Toronto, Canada area. Worked great for three days and then went to use it and the screen did not turn on. In a dark room you could see that screen was trying to turn on but was unsuccessful. My region was currently under lockdown so I couldn't return/exchange it, so I called Samsung to do a warranty repair. Shipped out the unit and waited about 9 days for it to return. Got it back, set it up and within 5 minutes the screen issue happened again. Once again, packed up the monitor and sent it back to Samsung warranty repair centre. It's been about 11 days and I'm still waiting for the monitor to come back. Really wanted to like this monitor as it has features I haven't seen before but this is really unacceptable. My best bet is when I get this monitor back and if it still doesn't work, taking it back to Best Buy and seeing if I can get a unit that was manufactured at later date to see if they fixed the issue on the assembly line. At this point I would say buyer's beware.

I would love to use this as a secondary monitor for my gaming PC. Normally I put discord up on one of my 10 year old 1080p 21 inch monitors, a web browser on my other 10 year old 1080p 21 inch monitor, and game on my nice dell ultra wide. This seems like a perfect way to replace those two ten year old monitors. This would be very nice to use to watch hockey or football while gaming.

It looks a nice screen but it wouldn't fit in my set up because i mostly game on my AOC 24g2u and use it sometimes for work, but im enjoying the 144hz. I have been thinking of making the switch to 1440p or 4k but i will probably just wait until they become cheaper. 1080p still looks great on a 24" in my opinion and i got a series x about 3 weeks ago and i notice more crisp graphical detail. Nice review
