We all love Harry Potter. J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding world has cast a spell on us that we haven’t been able to break, not that we’d want to. This near perfect film series is beloved by fans all around the world. And seems just as relevant now as all the way back in 2001. With eight movies in the series, though, there’s bound to be things that the creators missed. While some muggles may have missed these magical mistakes, our eagle eyed wizards were able to catch 20 of the mistakes that slipped right past the editors. With the series spanning over 10 years, the technology and visual effects behind the magic was bound to improve, but that doesn’t mean there weren’t some bumps along the way.
From all of the fake birds and creatures spotted on camera, to the not so magical green-screens. Complete character changes from one shot to the next, disappearing injuries, wires and electronics left in backgrounds, and Rupert Grint’s many blunders on set. Not to mention, you wouldn’t believe what's been powering Hogwarts technology this whole time .. batteries?! We will be taking a look at mistakes that will be impossible to ignore once you see them. So let's take a trip back in time across all 8 of the Harry Potter films for the mistakes only Muggles could have missed! And no, not even Alastor Moody's magic eye could catch these. Strap in because we are headed back for another semester at Hogwarts!

Considering the amount of films we’re talking about it is actually amazing that that’s all you could find and two are incorrect.. 1: The shirt changing color: you ran two scenes together, the scene when Harry sees Voldemort at the train station he wakes up on the train on the way to hogwarts. You showed him waking in bed having the dream about Mr. Weasley getting attacked. Two completely different scenes hence two different shirts. 2: The Second challenge towel change: again you’re splitting the scene to fit your agenda here. Hermoine came out of the water before Harry and was given the blue towel, which is the final scene you show. If you notice Harry is not there yet and everyone is anxiously waiting for him to come out of the water. Once he does, they then show Hermoine wrap her blue towel around Harry therefore leaving her in her dark blue robe.....you just reversed the scenes to make it look like a mistake. Also, the book opening on its own was more than likely the wind blowing if you notice in the scene you’ll see the pages continue to turn in the wind...so that one is questionable as well. If you have to fake movie mistakes to make a 10 minute video when you have eight films to work with that pretty much says it all....they did an amazing job.

Not to mention the fact that you guys missed the biggest “mistake” they could’ve possibly made. In the movie, The order of the Phoenix, during the scene in the courtyard when Umbridge is attempting to ban Trelawney...if you notice when the camera pans in on Harry his scar is over his left eye. Every other movie it’s been over his right....how’d you guys miss that?? I haven’t gone back and watched the movies from that point forward to see if it stays on the left or moves back to the right but I intend to. Anybody that’s noticed this and already knows the answer to that let me know. I’m curious if maybe the makeup was causing irritation from being put in the same place for so long 🤷🏽‍♀️don’t know the reason but there is no mention in the books of any curse or spell from the graveyard causing the change so it’s definitely a mistake....just don’t know if it was intentional in the hopes no one would notice??🤷🏽‍♀️ Anyone with any thoughts let know.

I actually went back to look for the cameramen after Draco was attacked by Harry during 2nd year and the shot is firstly mirrored in this video, secondly, its cut off from right where the girl is next to the cameraman so the cameraman is not in the shot. The scene is quite a few seconds long so I was shocked when they claimed there's a cameraman that no-ones noticed.

7:28 Ooh my gosh! The pillow goes down 1 cm! such a big mistake we have to mention it here and put in 1 hour worth of recording and editing. Jeez... sometimes Im not moving and still I feel the pillow Im sitting against sliding down. I guess gravity and friction are a complete fiction.

In the first movie, when Harry is first getting his wand, a split second before the vase shatters, you can see what looks like an arrow fly in from off-screen and hit the vase, shattering it.

In Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s/Philosopher’s Stone, I’m pretty sure in the scene when Harry, Ron, and Hermione have to get the key with the broken wing, you can see the strings holding up the hovering broom stick. This series could have 1,000,000,000,000 mistakes and I would still watch it over and over ❤️

@@LRM12o8 props and costumes are prone to be broken and such, not to forget that it takes a day (or more) to shoot scenes. Not everything will be placed exactly the same.

First off, I went back to watch the dueling scene and TRIED to find the cameraman, and guess what? he wasn't there. Second off, you've got to remember that these movies were made around 20 yrs ago and they didn't have as advanced technology as we do now. I just want to enjoy a good Harry Potter movie without searching for these tiny tiny details.

I think Harry’s shirt is light and later darker for a reason. When he sleeps he is himself so the shirt is light blue. When he wakes up he is partly Voldermort so that is why his shirt is darker. That is what i think. It’s the same with the logo’s in the beginning of the franchise. The first movie it’s a color logo later on it keeps getting darker and darker in each movie.

Alright in both the movie and the book it is made clear that Voldemort's wand is used to kill Cedric Diggory. Peter Pettigrew was just the person using Voldemort's wand at the time, there for the one he put into his coat is also the wand he pulled out ot this pocket to gave to Voldemort. We know this because the Prior Incantation when it was used on Voldemort's wand in the Dual "regurgitated the ghost forms" of the people that was killed by that wand, Cedric Diggory and Harry's parents both came out of the wand there for all three of these people were killed with the same wand.

Presumably 'oculus reparo' specifically mends spectacles? Why, if you're an 11 year old who has just started learning to do magic, do you choose such a specific spell to learn especially when you don't wear glasses yourself? Also, as Hermione is muggle-born, she presumably had only been in the wizarding world once before (when she went to buy her school things at Diagon Alley). How did she learn to cast this spell perfectly in that once visit? My theory is that a glasses wearing member of staff (eg McGonagall, Dumbledore, Flitwick etc) escorted Hermione and her parents to Diagon Alley before the first year, much as Hagrid did with Harry. That member of staff broke their glasses, it was the first spell that Hermione witnessed and the member of staff in question taught her how to do it.

It is explained in the book- chamber of secrets that theere is a fault in the system in which ministry detects the underage use of magic. It identifies the place where a magic has been performed and if there is a underage wizard living in that area. That is why when dobby dropped the cake on Aunt Marge, Harry got his first warning from the ministry of magic because he was the only underage wizard living in that area and Dobby’s presence in his house was not known. That’s why, because Diagon Alley is full of wizards, any magic by underage wizards/ witches couldn’t have been detected by Ministry.

Just a minor thing. You mentioned a book that was both opened and shut. I used to make books for Worzaella Publishing. Depending on the final venue, we had very different binding techniques. Hermione Granger's book is bound as a textbook. If it was properly opened / broken in (as I would expect Ms. Granger to perform); Both the cover and the pages inside the book would move in the breeze. There is also the possibility the book is used.

I have to say this. I thought that the trials in the Goblet of Fire were stupid. Dumbledore makes it perfectly clear how dangerous this contest was. Lafleur was allowed to retire from the water trial and a few other things that escaped my mind. I understand that this movie was for younger people as well. But considering the dark scenes that were in all of the movies. I think that they should have made things more believable for the movie goers and/or just me. I felt that they just rushed through the trials, never got any feeling that anyone was in any danger. I was never sitting on the edge of my seat or biting my nails. It could also be a situation that they were running over budget. But still, it didn't give any feeling of any real danger. It was still a great movie, but the trials were stupid.
