Descendants: The Rise of Red is on its way, and fans of this beloved Disney franchise are so excited to see a new chapter of this story unfold. A fourth Descendants film seemed like an impossibility for some time, since the original cast was mourning the loss of actor Cameron Boyce, and it was hard to imagine what this franchise would look like without him. Instead of ending the Descendants story forever or continuing it without such an important member of the cast, the minds behind the franchise chose, instead, to start a new branch of the story with new main characters and let the old story come to a close. Descendants: The Rise of Red will follow Red and Chloe, the daughters of the Queen of Hearts and Cinderella, respectively, on their quest to save the world together. Plenty of details of this film have been kept under wraps thus far, including when the release date will be. So, until we know when we can actually watch the movie and start enjoying the soundtrack, we’re busy figuring out all the details we can about this film. We’ve learned that while the main characters will be new, there will be plenty of familiar faces returning. We will also get to see some exciting actors reprise their roles from other iconic films.
