Bless her, I’ve suffered with anxiety since I was 10 and I’m now 21. Used to throw up everyday before school but it did slowly get better! Hang in there, despite the anxiety i did love secondary school. My teacher wrote me a lovely note when I left yr11 saying to not let the anxiety win and I’m better than that ❤

Bless her! 😢 I remember when I started secondary school that I came home crying and said to my parents that I couldn't do that for the next 5 years... then slowly but surely it turned into some of the best years of my life. I'm sure things will get better now that she's surrounded by her friends. And Holly should be proud for being so honest about everything!! I bet there are kids watching who are going through a similar thing and will feel better knowing that they're not the only ones feeling like that ❤

Holly is so brave! The past couples years I've struggled really badly with panic attack in school. I would recommended having another conversation with her head of year because something such as a timeout card could be helpful, so she can leave when she needs and also just to make teachers aware so they don't pick on her to answer questions and stuff xxx But I am so so proud of her. Keep telling yourself that you can do this Holly lovely!!! ♡♡

I know exactly how Holly feels starting secondary school in a class with no friends from primary school! I also had a really tough start - Moving to a new class with some previous friends will be the best for her - Well done to the Head of year for taking it seriously and being proactive, you've got this Holly you are an amazing young lady and anybody will be lucky to have you as a friend! :)

i had such a rough time in secondary school as i got bullied and had anxiety so i ended up getting homeschooled in the end as it was so hard for me to go into the building but holly is doing so much better than i was doing when i was going through all of that shes so brave!! i hope now that shes moving into her classes with her friends it will be easier for her 😢❤

Holly, when I started secondary school about one year ago I was excatly the same I was so nervous and I was at the point where I hated it. Eventually I started to enjoy a bit more and I felt so much better. Time flys by enjoy yourself babe x ❤

I loved this video. Holly has such a good personality. I want to say I’m 18 now and I have generalised anxiety disorder and I relate to holly a lot with anxiety especially when I was in school things got put in place for me to help my anxiety but I want to say how much it will mean to holly that her parents understand and are supportive through those tough time💕💕💕

You're school is so kind! I had the exact same sort of anxiety and had no friends in my set, my parents talked to the head of year and it took my head of year a whole year to move me, even though she new that the problems were getting worse and worse for me; worst year of my life. So happy for Holly!

when i started in year 7, i had panic attacks and didn’t want to go in for months but slowly i came to love school and when you built up more friendships it will get better. love u guys ❤

I moved 20 miles from my hometown when I started secondary school. I know the struggle of trying to make new friends. Honestly Holly is so brave and I hope things get better for her xx

As a new sixth former, secondary school gets better, even though at times it doesn't seem it, and there are times that it's hard/stressful etc but looking back it is good fun and it becomes normal very quickly. One more piece of advice, the time does fly by so enjoy the little things and the good parts because one day you'll miss it!

Holly don’t worry I also struggled with anxiety of the massive change from primary to high school I think that nobody realises how difficult it is to change I left many lessons many upset and didn’t settle in fully until Xmas and now I’m in y10 and nobody even remembers that and I’m much happier now xx

I loved this video. I’m currently in year 8 and last year for me was so stressful as I was the only one from my primary school in that school so I knew no one and making friends is a really hard part. Also going from primary school to secondary school is a significant change and yes the uniform policy is so strict and even if you are a minute late you get a 45-60 min detention. To be honest I thought only my school was that strict. Also I’m glad the head of year took immediate action after hearing about Holly’s situation. I wish you guys the best of luck also I would advise her to always stay positive and listen to teachers and stay well behaved as these are the teachers that will teach her in GCSE and it is crucial to be on their good list. I hope holly gets good teachers as a teacher pays a huge role in a young child’s life. Thanks for the amazing video.

Holly do not worry about anything. It's okay to worry though but don't get yourself too worked up! Think about the goods and not the bads. Dont worry about the friends, it will come naturally (you are beautiful and so kind I'm sure people will be your friend.) Try your best, be kind, show you are approachable. Secondary School is hard and it is stressful but it will get better. And no matter what, you will do amazing. Thank you for being so open with these questions and answering them. It's a very mature thing to do. Keep staying strong Holly! You're doing great! This video has made me want to be more open. There is lots of kids watching this feeling how you are. You arent alone. People love and care about you! Well done for being so honest and real, it shows that not everyone is perfect. School was rough for me at the start but it got better. You just need to show you are approachable, kind and willing to chat to people. Going from being the Big Fish in a Little School to the Little Fish in a Big School isnt easy but keep your head held high! Much Love Holly! xx

Awww Holly! Honestly I had the exact same experience, the only thing is that none of my primary school friends came to the same high school as me, like none! I really was by myself, I found it so difficult to make friends too! But I'm so glad you're getting moved classes, I hope you enjoy it much more from here on. You’re so brave Holly. I went to school crying on the first day because I was so shy. I refused to get out of the car. I wasn’t put in a form with anyone from my primary and it was really tough. On top of that I was getting bullied from day one for not talking but it got so much better and I made lots of friends who I am still friends with to this day. I’m wishing the best for you and I know you’ll get past the rough start. It may be tough now but in the future you’ll be able to look back and say look how far I’ve come. I hope your new form is better ❤

Hi! Holly don’t worry i’m in year 10 of secondary school and starting off as it has been for you happens to many people so remember your not alone but you are also super brave and you never give up! Also some good news for you is that in schools in the uk you don’t have to take re as a gcse anymore as last year the government changed it which i was very happy about too 😂 Hope you enjoy year 7 now your with friends that you know and if your ever worried make sure to speak about your feelings and don’t hold them in. You can tell your family friends or your teachers! Trust me they all help 😂 Love you guys your the best! ❤

Holly is lucky she only has 4 lessons I have 6! I’m in year 8 so I know exactly how holly felt and I felt the exact same but I wasn’t so worried as I tried to stay as positive as i could I have sooo many new friends she will get used to everything soon and she will really enjoy it!

My son is at secondary school in year 10 he suffers really bad with social anxiety he been diagnosed now by the doctors i know how u feel it affects the whole family Holly should be proud of herself because having anixty isn't easy on anybody, sending love to you all ❤️

It does get better, I unfortunately got bullied for the entirety of high school and I'm now in college in my final year studying what I love, animal management!! :D High school can seem daunting and horrible but trust me once u get used to it and u start to know ur way around its actually quite fun. I certainly miss school as everything I do is so professional now and I have to really think about money as I'm turning 18 next year, I would do anything to go back to school!

aww hope Holly is having a better time now. school can be tough. and I totally agree that there should be NO homework. my 3 kids are grown now and out of school. but they do enough work during the school day. and for those with sport or other activities after school, is very hard to then get stuck with homework from each subject !! anyway end of rant. again I hope u feel better now and settle in and enjoy school Holly.

Your so brave holly you do get use to secondary school im in year 9 and I have severe anxiety and when I started in year 7 I was that nervous and scared I didn’t speak like I was extremely shy and quiet they had to get me into a mental health group to help me speak and confidence cuz I was nervous n since then I have been in 3 mental health groups for anxiety but I’m used to it and eventually it does get easier I started expirence h panic attacks on year 8 and it got quite intense to the point I was struggling to cope at least 2-3 panic attacks a week and as time went on I don’t have as many now as I can cope with it abit better but when I do have panic attacks now they normally last for around 20-38 minutes or longer and I struggle alot but as long as u have that coping mechanism to help u u will be okay holly it does get easier I promise you secondary was and still is a challenge for me but as time goes on it does get better

I've just left my secondary school and the rules were insane! no logos on sports shorts. no hair bobble on wrist, no makeup or jewellery, had to ask to remove blazer in lessons. only fill water up at lunch time. planners had to be out on the table to the correct date. I once left my planner in a different classroom and had a 1 hour detention after school for it.

The best part of secondary school for me was home time 😁 Didn’t like school at all, I was bullied through all of primary school and most of secondary school 😢 But school was a lot different then to what it is now for Holly ❤
