I absolutely agree that paying 4-5 grand feels right. I love watches, but if I can trade my watch straight up for a new car, there's something wrong. It's more fun when they're less serious, and its easier to be less serious with a 3500 dollar watch than a 35000 dollar one. Just get a BB58 or Sinn or Omega rail master or something and be happy.

I was getting worried about how long you had been off air. I really enjoyed this unboxing as I am a huge Tudor fan (got a black bay GMT on leather). I cant wait to get to Venice at some point, all your videos have made it our first destination to go to once all the problems are out the way. keep up the great work.

Just picked up same from my AD today! I have quite a high end collection and don't feel I stepped down with this wonderful piece! First Tudor, generally stayed away from this brand, but I absolutely love this piece! Thanks for another great video!

Just bought one of these and have really enjoyed it so far. It works on my wrist and is my first Chrono. I'm learning watches are like road bikes. The formula is n+1 where n is the number of watches/bikes you currently own :) Enjoy your channel and live Friday nights (afternoons for us stateside).

I agree with you on the movements not being impressive to look at. The display casebacks are on the Tudor BB58 925 and the 18 ct. gold one. I personally believe the sapphire caseback was added to cut material cost.

I really love watches where the hands catch the light the way Oisin describes. There's something awesome and artistic about that.

Ok. I have this watch in the reserve panda on the SS bracelet. I bought in used but perfect condition. It’s a terrific chronograph with a great power reserve. It’s also the most accurate watch I own. There are a few misconceptions out there about it. The two things I want to make very clear for anyone who is considering one are: 1. The pushers can absolutely be (A.) Unscrewed while on the wrist simply but tilting the wrist away from you. Then, even I with very large hands (size 14-15 ring finger and 8” wrist/ 6’2”/220(100kg) can easily unscrew them without taking the watch off and (B.) You 100% can leave them unscrewed without having any concerns about accidentally getting water in the case as there are excellent gaskets that will not allow water in for example from a sink faucet or shower head. 2. This is a large 41mm watch that is built tank like and is not for someone who is not use to larger watches. Do not waste your money if you are concerned at all about size. If you do not have at least a 7”+ wrist and weight 200+ I strongly do not recommend it. The way I purchased the watch was from someone who bought it and then immediately after wearing it for two days thought this is simply too much watch. Like Oisin has said, it’s blue jeans, rock and roll, beefy watch. I wear my DateJust on a jubilee bracelet with a suit or when I need to get dressed up, otherwise this Tudor BB Chrono at $5k +/- is my very favorite everyday watch. I’m a boat captain, who lives on an island in Caribbean and when I am not there I’m sailing in the middle of an ocean or on a vacation from my usual life in paradise. In Italy right now three months of hurricane season (Lucca presently) and I decided after buying a three watch travel case that I was only bringing one watch. The Tudor does it all for me when I need it to!

Great review...you officially put this Tudor on my list! I totally agree...I have a 7.5" (190mm) wrist and struggle to find decent straps that are lomg enough...especially with 21mm lugs. Great that this has a standard 22mm width. What's up with all the slim wristed men on youtube? I can never wear a 36 and even 39 looks odd on my wrist. 40 is the minimum unless there is no bezel and the dial is larger, then I can get away with a 39mm.

Just picked up my reverse panda today on the leather strap it’s fabulous on the wrist. I’ve ordered the bracelet also. It’s so much more interesting than my BB 58 blue. I had a steel Daytona 25 years ago. This seems better built. But giving me the same vibes. Really really pleased.

If you really don’t like the faux rivets, Strapcode sells a round end bracelet for the black bay that has more adjustments in the clasp than the Tudor clasp (6 vs none). This lack of adjustments in the Tudor is the only Achilles heel for their bracelets.

Man.. I’m not sure why I have resisted watching your reviews. I’m set straight now and subscribed. I’m sitting on my porch smoking an Oliva Nub, having a glass of Lagavulin 16 and wearing my Tudor GMT on a Crafter Blue Navy/Red vulcanized rubber strap.. DYING to get this very watch! You sir, are an inspiration. As much as I’d like several of the Rolex you have I have pretty much sworn off the idea of them in favor of Tudor. Every bit as good ... half the price and attainable. Also agree with you Speedy opinion. Love my sapphire sandwich. Just a very pleasing unboxing experience.

Next tine you walk the streets, put the Rolex bag in a diaper bag to prevent being mugged and or stolen. I used to do that with expensive camera equipment.

The cynic in me would guess that the reason for the exhibition case back on the BB58 925 and 18K, is that sapphire is cheaper than a precious metal. I love seeing movements that are worth seeing - but I agree that the b01 isn't one of them, when given Tudor's finishing treatment (maybe more pleasing with a breitling finish)

Nice but if I could get one I'd take the Daytona all day long. My new BB58 925 arrives Monday and I'm pretty excited. I have the black and blue versions so it will be interesting to compare materials and size etc. My AD here in France has been excellent to me and always puts me at the top of the list when something new comes out. Pity I don't have the money for the gold version with the green face. Enjoy your Chrono.

I own the BB GMT and BB 58 Blue, I'm tempted to add the white dial BB Chrono. Love the black, but have a Tag Heuer Carrera from 2008, so want something different.

It’s good to have you back! Nice watch review. The only thing that keeps me from getting it is that the hands do not have enough contrast with the dial. Sometimes you have to find the correct angle where the light reflects on the hands to see the time. A quick glance won’t do it. In poor light might be hard to see the hands if they are not crossing over the small dials. Enjoy your new baby!

Nice watch and a good choice of Malt. I have just bought a blue face Pelagos . I am very impressed with it , and I think it’s good value for money. As much as I like my Rolex collection , Tudor is growing on me.

I also have a large wrist 19.05cm 7.5 inches and own the same watch and love it. The only criticism is the hand set should be accented in black for better legibility. The watch also winds like no other watch I own and have lots of resistance . Maybe it's the Breitling movement ?

i have a few issues with it, hands and dial colour make it difficult to read time 2) shovel hand, covers the sub dials 3) and last and not least, David Beckham But hope you enjoy and a great whisky
