Our Last Day At Tokyo Disneyland | Exploring Disneyland Hotel, Fancy Dinner & One Last Ride!

In today's vlog we say goodbye to Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disney Sea on our last day. We were super sad to be leaving but we had such an amazing time on this trip! We checked out the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel for a bit. We saw what they had in the gift shop and peeked at the lobby. Then we head into Disney Sea and have the fanciest dinner I've ever had at Magellan's Restaurant. We all ordered the wagyu beef dinner and it was glorious!! I'll remember that forever! Then we rode Genie's double decker carousel and left to head back to Tokyo Disneyland for one last ride on our last day. We only had about 30 mins until park closing so we headed back to Pooh's Hunny Hunt. We had an amazing time at Tokyo Disneyland and Disney Sea and we're so grateful and happy that we had the chance to go on a trip like this. Honestly, its so different! I dropped my PASMO card as I went to leave Maihama (Disney) station and a girl ran to it and picked it up for me before I even had a chance to turn around 😊

People are not going to want to hear this: Japanese politeness starts at home, where the mother's do not work. Strict discipline is involved. At school, students are pretty much responsible for everything. Rules of respect are drilled into students. Someone acts up, they are quickly told to go stand quietly in the hallway. If someone can't do that, then they are sent home to the mother, who quickly going to solve the problem. Japanese kids are quickly taught ostracization. If someone is not following societal rules, you don't associate with them, ever. Peer pressure keeps kids in line. They do not want to be ostracized from their friends. Even into adulthood, people who do not follow societal norms are ostracized.

A tip I'd like to share to avoid jetlag: find a flight that arrives in Tokyo at night. Mine was at 8p and I got to the hotel and stuff around 10pm, we slept through the night because we were so tired. We woke up at 5a, checked in at the Disneyland hotel at 8a and hit the park soon after.

Also each hotel has their own special merchandises that can only be purchased if you stay there. Another benefit of staying in Disneyland hotel (and Miracosta) is that you can get a daily park hopper, otherwise you can only parkhop at the 3rd day.

You get a similar experience in Disneyland Paris, as most of the spoken word is in French and a bit of English

It would be awesome to do a Q&A about this trip! How easy was it to communicate with cast members? Like did they have people able to speak enough English to take your orders or give you directions? Can't believe how inexpensive everything has been, why do you think that is? Tokyo Disney seems extremely affordable

I went into Pooh's Hunny Hunt expecting a standard dark ride, basically the same thing as we have in the states, and was completely blown away. Truly one of the best Disney rides in any park, anywhere.

At Disneyland Paris the Disneyland Hotel is the entrance to the park, you walk underneath it when you enter the park and you can see Main Street station and the castle from inside the hotel

The Leonardo Challenge is a scavenger hunt. You get one of several maps, and then you follow a trail of clues which leads you to a final secret message and a press where you can emboss your map. There's several videos on KZfaq people have posted which explain it, but it's one of many things we missed when we were there. I guess we'll just have to go back!

Tim and Jenn have been spoiled Tokyo Disney style during their trip to Japan. I’m willing to bet WDW will never be the same for them. Yeah, they will continue visiting WDW because they live in Orlando. But even Tim said it best at 20:30 in that video. “If I was a tourist, I wouldn’t go to Orlando, I’d come here (to Tokyo Disney)”. Truer advice could not be given. Bravo! Now you know.

I'm so happy that you had this opportunity. It's a joy to watch you having so much fun. But, as a tourist who visits Florida WDW, I can tell you I experience the same emotions you are feeling. I cry when I get there, when I see my favorite rides and when I leave. I want to live in Magic Kingdom...lol. I think because WDW is so convenient to you, you are used to it so it's lost some of its magic. Maybe you'll find it again when you get back. Love your vlogs, thanks again for sharing.

Fun Fact: Okra is actually African in origin. I learned this when I got into making gumbo who's name is believed to be derived from the Bantu work for Okra. Always thought that was interesting.

Regarding all those snack boxes. It is my understanding there is a custom in Japan that when you go on holiday you bring back those snack boxes from where ever you went to to share the experience with friends, family, and even co-workers. I forget what the custom is called.

I hope you come back to Tokyo with Jackson, he will love it and to experience it through his eyes will be awesome! My husband and myself are hoping and planning to come back to Tokyo for our 30th wedding anniversary. We went there back in 2018,and loved it! Haven’t lost the magic and I liked it more then Disney World, which in some ways I’m sad about! Disney World was my special place and will always hold a special place in my heart, but what’s happening there lately to try to save money, it’s sucking the magic out of true Disney fans! Anyway, loved the places that we went to and totally recommend Tokyo to anybody that’s thinking about going!

My family and I were WDW hard core fans then we visited Disneyland and became obsessed with the original Disneyland. Then we visited Tokyo Disney Resort in November and absolutely agree with everything you said about the Tokyo resort. Those parks are impeccably clean, polite and so thoughtful. When you said that you recommend this as a first park for tourists, you hit it right on the head. We can’t wait to go back!

You guys missed the daytime lagoon show in DisneySea! It's much different from Fantasmic - they have these huge, elaborate boats, characters on jetskis, fountains, and, of course, Disney characters and music. It's basically their equivalent to the parade.

yeah i felt the different type of magic, and i never been to disney anything!! but i saw videos and i can tell tokyo is more magical!! and that is just their nature, so i will def hope for tokyo disney!!
