Join us on this trip to Walt Disney World's EPCOT for a new series, where we take a closer look at each of the pavilions in World Showcase! In today's vid we take an in depth look at the Morocco Pavilion. We take a look at the food locations, gift shops, and bars within this area of the World Showcase. We also had a chance to check out the art installment showcasing the way personal adornments have played a very important roll in Morocco's culture. Unfortunately the only thing we couldn't show in this video was the Princess Jasmine meet and greet as she wasn't there this day. This pavilion has so much to see! We hope you enjoyed this in depth look at everything that Morocco at Epcot's World Showcase has to offer! Thank you for watching and we'll see you tomorrow with a new vid!

The Moroccan govt was involved in the design and build. King Hassan sent his artists to design the tiles. Truly the most authentic pavilion there.

The Morocco Pavilion is the most underrated thing at Disney World, imo. It's beautiful, has and lovely souvenir items, and the food is *fantastic*! (PS, there is a wonderful bellydancer that performs at Restaurant Marrakesh every evening!)

Morocco Pavilion has always been my favorite and one of the most immersive Pavilions in the World Showcase. The architecture, details and colors are just so amazing. And for the more “adventurous” eater, the food is really delicious. Fun Facts: the Morocco Pavilion is only Pavilion that was funded by another government. The King, Hassan II, sent a team over to guarantee that his culture was correct. Also, Marrakesh is still run by the team set up by the King and is still sponsored by the government. Lastly, Morocco is the only Pavilion that doesn’t light up during Illuminations- Morocco has a high Muslim population, and the main tower of the building in Morocco’s pavilion is a replica of a prayer tower. Lighting the prayer tower at night would be against Muslim beliefs.

This my FAVORITE pavilion. I've been in love with it since I was a kid. Had the pleasure of actually going to Morocco 5 years ago, and had a Disney trip just a few weeks later, and it really made me appreciate how perfectly on point it all is. It felt like I was back in Marrakech. I love talking to the cast members from there; I find they really love and cherish their country and love to talk about it!

Morocco is my favorite area at Epcot. It was so sweet, one time I was in there enjoying the area and a Moroccan cast member brought out a rug and set it in the eastern corner for a Muslim family to pray in.

One of the best things about the Morocco pavilion is that it's the only pavilion in Epcot that's sponsored by the country's government. Morocco has sponsored the pavilion since its inception in 1984, and sent artisans and architects to construct the pavilion. So there is no exaggeration in saying that the buildings and artwork are authentic.

I'm not kidding when I found that amazing plaza with the fountain on my first visit that I legit didn't know If I was still in Florida anymore. It might sound weird, but those corridors in the Pavilion are my favorite part of Epcot, it's so transportive. The Morocco pavilion is one of my personal favorite places Disney has ever created.

A few years back my family couldn't get a reservation at one of the World Showcase restaurants (don't remember which) and decided on a whim to see if they could get on at Restaurant Marrakesh. We've sense made a point to go back there every time we visit Disney. The foods great, the atmosphere is amazing, and it's never been a problem getting a reservation. They also have a belly dance show in that center section of the restaurant. Another interesting note, which is written on one of those plaques around the pavilion, is the fact that Morocco was the fist country to recognize the United States as a sovereign nation.

I love the Morocco pavilion -- especially Restaurant Marrakesh, which I first went to on my honeymoon. Great food -- and my favorite happy birthday song on property. It kinda sounds like a middle eastern version of happy birthday...on fast forward. Hearing that song 3-4 times during a dinner at Marrakesh is kinda hilarious. Also, you can often find other Photopass photographers at most of those "Instagram spots" you mentioned...it depends on the day. Great series!

I feel the Morocco pavilion is highly underrated. It's absolutely beautiful if you slow down and take the time to appreciate it. All the handmade tiles and the carved wood blow me away, too. Restaurant Marrakesh is on my to-do list for our next trip. Unlike many of the restaurants in the showcase, they seem to have dishes that you wouldn't normally see.

The Fez House was originally home to displays of artisan works from Morocco with live artisans. Brasswork and carpet making. It'd be flanked with brass pieces and some in progress, and then the big open space in the middle would be large carpets and people looming them. For many years after the space had an authentic giant loom still hanging out as a display. It's meant to be sort of a display of a traditional home on the upper level - so it has audio that plays of a family intermittently. The bells for the "clock" were overhead to your left - they're sort of at the top of that wall there and dont look like a traditional bell shape. Looks sort of like a series of cylinders. The restaurant also has belly dancing. I think you and jen would like. Cinnamon spiced beef and melon flavors in desserts. Lamps of Wonder was more mini-museum space back in the day and the characters have moved in, but while waiting some of the displays are still there. At the front of the pavilion, what is Tangeriene Cafe used to be the tourism bureau for Morroco, answering questions and helping book trips to visit the country. Those restrooms on the right before France are one of a pair of pavilion markers from the park's opening day. Morocco was the first pavilion added - built adjacent those existing restrooms. Years later Norway would be added at what was its own no-theme-no-country restrooms as well.

Morocco is my FAVORITE country. FYI: King Hassan II actually sent Moroccan artisans to design and create the many mosaics. The government also sponsors the pavilion, while a corporation holds sponsoring rights on every other pavilion. It's the only pavilion in which the country's government aided in the design. Once while eating at the restaurant we meet a man who had lived in Morocco and said it's looks exactly like Morocco.

I am LOVING this series. It also makes me feel like a schmuck for all the times I’ve been in World Showcase and not gone deep into the pavilions.

Tim I have done the exact same thing at the Morocco pavilion, sometimes at Disney you might see a door that you might think is locked or not accessible only to find that there is a complete experience around the corner.

I was just there December 8th to the 16th and I told my family let’s just sit back on Epcot and enjoy the world showcase. So much to see and enjoy. This video was great.

I love your showcase series. I daydream about exploring World Showcase alone so I can geek out on the details.
