I had to pause and say... wait, what? Your home was built in 1926?? That is unbelievable. I would've sworn it was a house from maybe the 60's or 70's. It looks amazing for a house from that era!!

@@karens8633 Yes, they were definitely built more solid back in the early part of the century. I live in a 70's era apartment and the construct is not that great. In regard to Tim & Jenn's house, It just never seemed that way from the inside. Then again, we haven't seen much of the outside beside the swimming pool/porch area. Not sure why that surprised me, but it did.

Since you like history museums, I'd like to suggest two to you. Should you find yourself near them, you should visit: 1. The Frontier Culture Museum, in Staunton, VA. It tells the story of the early settlers and people of Virginia, containing historic buildings from the 1600s to 1850, as well as reconstructions of Igbo (African tribe) and Native American villages. 2. Historic Westville, in Columbus, GA. It tells the story of western Georgia from the 1830s to the 1930s, containing historic buildings from the era, as well as a reconstruction of a Muscogee Creek village. The coolest part is that both of these museums have people dressed in period correct outfits manning the different houses and farms scattered about the premises. It feels like you're being invited into someone's home instead of sneaking in while they're away.

5:28 - The thing with the mirror is most likely an old school hairdryer. My grandmother had something like that. Dry while you watch yourself, etc. Cool things about vids like today's: 1) Sometimes things don't go as planned, but Tim always recovers well. He found a place that should have been busy this time of year but wasn't. 2) No one else around so nicer to film without crowds, noise. I get the feeling that bed frame was a grave marker, but so close to the house? Weird.

When you walked into that house I swear I had flashbacks to my Grandmother's kitchen (same counters and sink and cooking utensils and such) and my grandfather's barn and his old tractors. They were cotton farmers in South Texas and we'd visit for a week or so every summer when we were kids - this was the 1970's(ish). but ding dang - what a charming and nostalgic place to visit!
