I will never forget seeing john dwyer sitting right next to me during the set of the opening band. I was just sitting down on some stairs with a beer and i looked to the left and there he was sitting right next to me ... my fucking idol the man that changed the way i look at rock music forever. I shat my pants and i was way to nervous to talk to him because i wasnt prepared at all for this but i catched him after the show, had a short conversation with him and took a picture. You know that saying "never meet your heroes"? People that say this shit have the wrong idols.

i know everybody has nothing but good things to say about Dwyer, but man, he really just might be the most pure and honest man in the whole modern independent rock world. slowly but surely built his music career from the ground up, runs his own label, still constantly puts out records, still loves being on the road playing music... and on top of all of that, he comes off as extremely humble, never forgetting to be grateful for being able to get to do what he loves for a living. also... if he's a CAN fanatic, i fucking need to know if he has an original Monster Movie.

nice bloke. same history like me different music ( check wondertrees on spotify ) started out a little late too but boy what fun to have a good operating band. grrr its hard these days but working in the care business i make a living. fab band this is. simple and very effective. big like bruv! greets from Amsterdam! was working at Paradiso Amsterdam for ten odd years as a monitor engineer and dealing with bands favs where it comes to substances haha. Say NIN and a lot more. Yay did we have a good time weow. Now working in care land with the mentally impaired for wich i already had the diplomas back in the day. Its nice to be a guide and a helper. thats my karma i guess. Still playing for fun but making money from a musical career is very troublesome when having a family. touring4x and some more is just killing in my opinion. Not my thing. So beware going into this business i will tell you. wow its heavy. Sweets to this band. wow nice!Come to IJLAND studios in Amsterdam mate. We do Stephen Malkmus and some more. it be a gas to have you guys!
