In this video I demonstrate a way to use Larry Williams Percent R %r indicator for mean reversion trades with an 88% win rate. I show how to improve the strategy by use of TDOM Trading Day of the Month.
All the testing is done using Multicharts and data from Oanda.

I can only hope that when you run extra tests like the one where you're running changing the open exit that you've actually worked with these type of tests in real time and found them to be successful because if I have found out anything in my training career is you can optimize something to make more money on the computer but that's certainly doesn't mean it's going to work in real life

Love your videos I'm a Larry follower for over 40 years but I've been having trouble trading Larry because the stops always have to be so large but I'm finding myself able to fit yours in on a few minutes

Is the TDOM classed as the signal day (i.e. oversold on WR%) or the day we take the trade, i.e. day after signal day?

Sharing your analytical work is much appreciated. One thing I don't understand though - why do you focus solely on forex? As far as I know, equities have greater mean-reverting tendencies than currencies.

A lot of packages default to a 14 period because that's the length Welles Wilder (RIP) used for his indicators. Larry recommends a 10 period for his indicator for commodities and currencies and a 3 for stocks. I'd be interested to see some strategies based on Welles Wilder's Parabolic SAR, his volatility stops, and his DI/ADX indicator.

@9:45 I'd feel *really* uncomfortable tweaking my strategy based on this data.. feels a hell of a lot like overfitting, in particular since we've already cherry-picked one specific currency pair?

Trading with Mr Mathew and his strategies is awesome,he has helped me to recover some capital I lost in the hands of incompetent brokers/account managers but thanks to almighty God that at least I come in contact with Mr Mathew via his mail that was shared on the net by good traders, since then I have never lost any trade,you can reach him,

Yes I use walk forward testing and also some in sample / out of sample testing on recent data too.

Does it really make sense to take that kind of risk to generate 45000 profit in 11 years?????? You`d better taken your money into a "normal" interest rate account..

You put the money in a portfolio (not a single strategy), the compounding gets better and better the more non-correlated strategies you have AND if you increase your position size as the account grows (exponentially)!

Again I can only hope that the filters you are using on here are filters you have not only tested but filters that have traded forward in your real life trading not on the computer
