Using MACD this way actually works! - Full Trading strategy

In the past I tried using the MACD histogram and didn't find it very profitable. This time I use the MACD line and produce a nicer trading strategy.

If you are talking about scalping I don't know, but what i know for sure is that MACD works better on higher time frame , starting from H4 and above. MACD is designed for long term momentum like swing trading.

Thank you for making this Jarrod, is it possible for your to list the strategy rules here and also, couple of queries 1 - is this strategy only tested on USD/JPY on 30 min charts and 2 - from a UK perspective what is the trading time window using GMT?, thanks M

Wonder if you used tge ATR filter if the 2008 would have been better. Where you don't take trades in bad market.

The reason this works, because crossing of macd zero line is same as crossing of price 60 ma.
