Hi! Love your videos. Thanks for your hard work! I have a question: I've been trading forex for 2 years with just a few hundred bucks, but I still haven't found a strategy that can increase my balance in a short time period. I've watched many of your videos, and they seem to work wonders (unfortunately, not for me since I don't have a 100k balance like you do). What should I do, and which strategy should I practice? As I mentioned, I haven't found any strategy so far that can generate at least some profit for me.

i ran a scan in think or swim with the setup criteria just to see what it looked like on equities. it didn't appear to show any consistency within the next few 4hr bars... i just cant do rules based trades.

Whoa that's quite a conclusion you've come to. Having lost count of the number of backtests I've run on many, many markets, I can tell you there isn't a single "rule" that will work across all markets. That would be the holy grail. I typically run about 10,000 backtests to find one strategy that actually passes my criteria. That's across 40+ markets, and perhaps 6 bar sizes per market.

Celebrate and remember your mistakes.. so you will not make them again. I was off on sco and boil.. Friday, left them on over the weekend 😂😂😂😂 you are not alone.

I am surprised to read all the comments that this gentleman has received, each one more stupid and ridiculous, and yours is not exempt. Let's see, according to you, what mistake has he made, not to use in real account a strategy that in out of sample gave such bad results? Of course he did the right thing. But now, when observing that this strategy is only partially overoptimized since it uses fixed takeprofits and stoplosses that do not adapt to the volatility of the market, his big mistake has been not to investigate the reason why this strategy failed in that period. I have done it and I know the reasons, one of them I have already given, volatility.

@mquant001 I think he is awesome.. I was quoting a line from a movie. But more to the point. I will daily before I make a trade.. try to go over my past mistakes. My mistakes in no way are representative of his wonderful videos that are filled with useful information. Good luck trading markets open in 1 hour and 34 minutes, it's 2:30 am eastern.

Why not just trade this Short-only with 150?pip stop?

He will have his own answer but I would strongly guess it comes back to how past performance doesn't guarantee future results. Don't over-optimize. Don't curve fit.
