This is an honest question to insightfulNomad, and the host of this channel, ( because questioning what and how something is presented is not necessarily something to be interpreted as the actions of "haters".) The censorship and surveillance of Israel may inhibit people from taking time to do a step like this, but since you both are interested in filmmaking: Have either of you watched the documentaries, "Israelism", or, " Roadmap to Apartheid", interviews with Arab Jews like, Eran Efrati, or anyone who acknowledge that there are different laws for Arabs and Palestinians? Would one nation state, with equal rights for all, be real?

Wait, this was where people drank beer, ate popcorn, and watched bombs land on Gaza?! I didn't know the nickname, "Sderot Cinema"...*To clarify: This was not shared to imply all people there are simply callous and cruel, only that the tour implied that everyone simply lives in terror and behaves with brave resilience. ( To compare notes, I looked up the history of Sderot. Among the sources were another Israeli version, and the trailer for the newish film by journalist, Abby Martin. After watching 25 minutes into, * " Gaza Fights for Freedom", ( 2019), I wondered again if you both truly are ignorant of the wider story, or you prefer the audience to remain as such by omitting historical context along the tour. The more I learn about towns being demolished and built over with new names, it seems like an ongoing culture of erasure in this country.)

Just want to say that I love your videos Tal. My father is Israeli but I grew up in America, yet I’ve always had a fondness for my homeland. Now grown up with a wife and kids, it’s hard to go back at this time, so your videos are a wonderful window to see what’s going on during the war. Life since Oct 7th has been nothing short of shocking, frustrating and depressing (in equal measure), but your videos remind me of the resiliency and kindness of Israelis.

It is heart breaking..I would NEVER want to live in such environment. I cannot understand why other people who are living safely in other countries all over the globe cannot see that these Israeli also are living their lives in fear. NO EMPATHY at all. I can tell you that since the Israeli and the Ukraine conflicts, which I have been following closely, I have so much gratitude each and everyday at how blessed I am to live in one of the safest countries in the world and far far away from all of the current conflicts around the world. My beautiful safe country where I have raised my children without a care in the world, is a true blessing. I can not imagine what these people have been through and still going through!

Two things I would highly recommend one go to the cemetery in Sederot you will find families that were killed on October 7. The 2nd thing is go to Kfar Azah gas station they have an amazing food truck. I believe it’s still open

Thanks again for a very insightful and sensitive account of Sderot - I've seen the footage clips of the terrorist attack on the police station and heard interviews with residents on Israeli news. This video just brings it all much closer. The protected park is just amazing - on the one hand so sad, but on the other such a symbol of Israeli resilience and the ability to find solutions. It's also so sad there used to be such lively interaction between Gaza and Sderot ... Thanks for the Intro to Alec's channel as well! :)

It is horrendous that you cannot live safely. The lovely mother you spoke to still has her children beside her. In Gaza the mothers are not so lucky, nor the children whose whole families have been killed. Those living in Gaza are not only being attacked by Israel on a daily basis, bombs dropping around them constantly and under the control of an extremist government. You are living a western existence in the east so it was never going to be easy. The Settlers don’t help in bringing peace to the region and with Netanyahu at the helm peace now seems a distant dream. Thanks for your videos .. always good to see both sides of this dark period in history.

people blame Israel for “bombing civilians” in gaza, but they dont blame hamas who started the war. nor do they blame hamas hiding in their billion dollars worth from aid in building tunnels all around gaza, specifically under mosques, schools, hospitals and refugee centers while hamas leaders are having the good life in qatar. urban warfare hasnt been this intense since the second world war because the IDF doesnt want indiscriminate bombings on civilians. For those of you saying "you stole land": 95% of the population in Gaza weren't alive in the 1940s. 75% of Israelis weren't alive when it happened. "Your grandparents stole land that I never lived on" isn't a reason to continue firing rockets. If you think it is, then I pray to whatever God that you one day lose the hate your parents taught you. In 20 years, if Israel decided to throw hands with Gaza or the West Bank again because "hamas killed 1200 people on October 7th, 2023", would you think that's justified? No. The past is in the past, and will never come to present. The only VIABLE way to work toward the future is being able to work through issues stemming from the past, not trying to relive it.

The Roman empire stole this land. The Jews were given the land back when the land was under the English possession. If you are talking about the occupation. The original colonial occupation was 63 BCE by the Roman empire. They conquered the land expelled the Jews and gave the land a Greek name Philistines. Israel isn’t occupying any land it’s their land. Israel needs to defend itself and land for as long as it can in order not to be conquered again.

Actually, the Jewish were on the land some 4000 years ago, much more before there was any talk about Palestine. The word Palestine derives from Philistines who were Greek invaders of the land. When the Romans expelled Jews from their land, they named it Syria Palestina to humiliate Jews, to remind them of Greeks who invaded their country. So, it is much easier to believe that history began in 1948, but it didn't. If you were the one who bulit a house, whoever came after you and is not connected to you, is in your house. I think the problem is that people don't know the history and yet are eager to stand for Palestinians. But even if I knew nothing about the conflict, the atrocities, rapes, burning alive of children, dismembering alive bodies and laughing would set off a big red flag about the inhumanity of those who did it. There is no justification for raping young girls and burning babies. Those are some evil works. Am Yisrael Chai ❤🇮🇱

This is war unfortunately. I am sorry to see what has happened but Hamas built tunnels under E everything and that was a stupid thing to do. They used the civilians as human shields most of the civilians are also Hamas soldiers so it is hard to distinguish. I am mostly sorry for the children because they had been indoctrinated and brainwashed from when they were babies to hate Jewish/Israelis and at schools and everywhere they are taught to kill from a young age this which is very sad.

civilian casualties is not a holocaust, can you name a war where there wasn't civilian casualties ? , this is normal in war and israel didnt start this, and in this war the number of casualties is much lower when compared to other similer conflicts, this goes to show israel goes far in trying to minimise the numbers

The Nazis didn't provide Jews Knafe and beachfront properties at the concentration camps of Auschwitz and across Europe. Nor did the Americans with the Japanese. Gaza was never a concentration camp.

It wasn’t. Just watch the videos on Gaza prior to the war. Look at how a lot of houses look inside it. Palestinians are lousy liars. At one point they talk about it as if it’s comparable to a concentration camp and now they are so sad to lose the convenience they had. Remind you the Jews didn’t have convenience, they had to survive on things like the skins of potatoes. But whatever floats your boat, truth and you are like 2 separate realities.
