Another video in my series on dealing with various e-waste items. Here I present a few different options so that you can see where the best value is and whether fluoro lights are worth picking up if you are out street scrapping.

I have a huge pile of them under my house, been there for over 25 years. i think i will just scrap them but the scrap yard here most likely won't pay anything. I'd just drive in and throw them all onto a pile of metal and drive out. it's a 15 k drive on a 50 klm / h road so I'd be glad to be rid of them. Thank you for your lessons, they sure do help. It will be a future project for when i can con someone into getting under there to get them all.

Not a bad return on your time, most hobbies only cost money.

So true Mitchell! And it is rather therapeutic taking things apart! (And most therapy appointments only cost money! 🤣)

I think it’s always worth breaking down as far as you can .. I would strip all the wire because I cast copper .. and I even pull all the little brass pieces out also because I also melt brass .. every bit counts for me 😂 great video as always brother I love how you keep track on paper to show the different ideas people can have .. great channel brother

Thanks Seth - yeah, I'm a fan of a notepad & pen!! And your point is valid - people who melt & cast metal get more value (and more satisfaction) from micro-scrapping. Likewise, I undo more screws etc than many because I have a use (and a market) for them 👍 Thanks again for your input 🤟

The Ultimate Recycler trust me brother if I didn’t cast stuff I’d turn that wire in with the skin on 🤣

It looks really calming to just slowly take everything apart. I know you've done a walkaround of your backyard with your large steel scrapping in washing machines etc, how do you store your scrap for small parts like this? keen to take things to pieces but don't want to make too much of a mess of my backyard haha

You mean you don't want your backyard to look like mine Wyatt? 🤣🤣 I've just started another part of my backyard clean up series and I'll show how I store all my smaller bits of steel! I use computer cases, microwave shells and even paint cans for small stuff.

Left over washers are acceptable - anything else may be an issue! 😖🤣
