For far TOO LONG TEDDY ATLAS has used the name of MIKE TYSON to boost his career! YES, ATLAS can be seen in the ring with TYSON! Yes, he can be seen showing Mike some moves, but that is not what made "IRON" MIKE TYSON an all time great. In this video, I tell what people were saying back when Tyson was an Amateur and Atlas could be seen in his corner. The man who really took the torch from CUS D'AMATO has been passed over because he does not use Tyson's name like TEDDY ATLAS has done while kicking Mike's back in for over a decade! The relationship between CUS and ATLAS was a good one, but CUS gave orders. He knew what he wanted in TYSON and was not going to trust his progress to anyone while he was alive! That is a FACT! Most people do not know when a man IS the trainer and when he has been ENTRUSTED to only a certain part. This video explains the dynamic between the MASTER MIND behind fighters and those they allow the time to work with those fighters. Get out your PEN and PAD.
Some people will not like what I say in this video, but it needs to be said and the man who deserves the credit needs to be remembered for what he did for the sport, but helping Tyson realize his frightening potential. listen and learn the truth of the real master mind behind Mike Tyson.
Enjoy, S

The sad part is that Tyson believes the lie, the fact is Tyson is a natural phenom. Tyson could've been trained by just playing Rock'Em Sock'Em Robots and still would've made it to the top. Teddy got lucky that Tyson crossed paths w/ him, Tyson made people think Teddy is relevant.

I work with boxers in private that already have some fights and even they have to contact at least 3 weeks ahead. Between seminars, getting the website and online together, a manuscript I am working on and family, I don't have the time. They can always contact me and I will advise them if they need though. NP.

@@TheUmmahFightCamp sayf I have three questions for you maybe you could answer them in a video. 1. If cuban fighters were allowed to freely turn pro how would this have affected the history of pro boxing post castro? 2. Would boxers like teofimo stevenson had made a name for themselves and became great and well known hall of famers? 3. Do you think boxing adding weight classes watered down the talent level by spreading out the talent among so many weight classes?

Think Or Die: actually Cus was wrong about Ali as were many white trainers of his day. He thought that Liston would beat Ali easy. Cus thought he had a formula to beat Ali, when in fact the Peek a boo would never have beaten Ali. A person could maybe knock him down, but coming in like that would never have worked with a sharp shooter like Ali.

@@TheUmmahFightCamp I hear you. I always used Ali vs Frazier fights as a gage versus "Kid Dynamite" Tyson's March to the title. Would it be wrong to assume that Tyson's effort would have surpassed Frazier's against Ali? Appreciate your work

@@thinkordie7292 I do not think so. People still do not want to accept how special Ali was. They have no idea. The BEST chin and welter weight speed. Not to mention, B level power which is good for that speed. A better KO % than Floyd even with his loses! Tyson may knock him down. but only to get held and beat over 15 rounds if it lasts that long.

I see. Your point brings me to this question: If it were you against prime Ali, would Tyson's method or Frazier's be utilized, or is there any new strategy that you would try? I understand that even Bruce Lee had studied Ali, but I am a firm believer that everyone has that someone who has the recipe to beat them.

I still don't get why teddy thinks he was apart of Mike's career like that. Atlas was just a small pebble in the grand scheme. Mike Tyson's natural ability is what made him mike Tyson. Kevin and cus just showed him how to use it. It's a shame Mike's career was derailed once kevin left. But even after kevin left he won the title again afterwards lol. Just goes to show how good he was .

Teddy Atlas is a loud mouth, and America loves loud obnoxious personalities regardless of their underlying qualities. Kevin Rooney is the complete opposite, more focused on his fighters and prefers to live a low-key life outside of the limelights. Consequently, the lights have been shined on the more extrovert persona, especially given his unique physical "attributes" that make him appear to be a tough scarface's like persona. Teddy was designed for the " media" and he has made use of his image to earn a living. He is an actor, a great actor. That is also " your" problem, you are too " real" for America and the mainstream youtube/media. There are a lot of acting " coach/cheerleaders/wannabe" posting as coaches and even fighters. They are good at playing the " game" and make a lot of money doing so. Having principles is not very profitable in an hyper consumerist society!

Excellent analysis! Atlas is a gifted storyteller with a powerful personality. As you say, he looked and talked the part, I think when Teddy speaks, does analysis, he's really speaking about himself. There's a clip where he goes on about Tyson never going to the Dark Places, that's obviously nonsense, Teddy is talking about himself. He's talking about his own shortcomings

You made some excellent points in this video especially about Mike amateur vs pro career. When he turn pro, he started to roll with the punches, and selected his shot alot better because of kevin rooney help rather than teddy's. I believe imo if Mike would've had teddy in the pros, I think like you said Mike would've when 10-2 and probably would've burn out, because of the style he was fighting in the amateurs. Teddy is no more than a cheerleader than a strategist.

Glenn R: it is obvious that you have not gone too far in school. Let me educate you then. There is something called inference. To put it in a way that even you can understand, that means you assume based on the evidence. Since I KNOW what Tyson was before ROONEY, having boxed for 50 years (am I am sure you have not), I is clear to me that KEVIN ROONEY was the second biggest force behind CUS himself. As for what Mike would say, he is a person just like you. I know people who will not admit that I taught them the best things they know. People have emotions and will base their opinions from that. Kevin Rooney was the second master mind behind Tyson and that comes from someone who can see.

Stephen A and Teddy Atlas are the same. Always wrong about things and screams even though they have a mic. Tim bradley when coached by Teddy atlas, performed worse when he faced the peek a boo of Manny Pac. Which means Teddy had nothing to even deal with it and of course Manny is using it.

Hedgehog vs Smog: It is a psychological phenomenon. Atlas appeals to certain people of a certain mental bend :). The same people think that Izzy is arrogant, but Covington is "confident". It also helps that Atlas plays the tough roll which impresses those who are impressed with that sort of thing.
