You're supposed to eat before your fast starts, otherwise your fast doesn't start at 7AM it starts whenever you last ate dinner. That's why the sausage was legendary for you

Intermittent fasting and religious fasting are two different things that serve completely different purpose. The reason jordan feels bad isn't because he's "doing it wrong," he's not trying to do what you're thinking of. Intermittent fasting is basically a diet plan for people to lose weight, so Jordan, as a relatively skinny person that doesn't need to lose any weight, felt bad when he wasn't eating because his body doesn't carry any extra weight he can use as fuel, which is kinda what Intermittent fasting hinges on as a diet plan.

Again, really recommend Jordan reads either Romans (pretty much just sums up the Christian faith in a single book) or John (The story of Jesus). As far as the version goes, do New King James Version (is more of a direct translation) or New International Version (is translated to be much easier to understand since it feels more like regular English) I wouldn't recommend doing an Old Testament book since those are more meaningful when you have a better understanding of the Christian faith. Although if you just want cool stories, the Old Testament book of Judges is a pretty good option.

Same here! Though I would recommend Genesis as the Old Testament book to read since it has a lot of the most recognizable stories does a better job setting the foundation of humanity. Judges is super interesting but it can also get pretty depressing, and it's not something I'd recommend to someone that doesn't have the biblical context for it

Intermittent Fasting and OMAD is usually intended for weight LOSS so trying to get baseline or even excess calories on that structure is just putting obstacles in the way.
@simplement4890
@simplement4890 Ай бұрын
I was listening to this and figured I’d share my experience on OMAD (which stands for One Meal A Day, which is another type of fasting). The first 3-4 days, it’s horrible. You’re constantly hungry. After these days, you aren’t hungry at all. It was one of the best things I’ve did. I was eating 2400 calories since I was cutting, at about 7 pm. I did that after working out, and kept it that way for 3 weeks. What I find so fun about this, it’s that you have so much more time. I’m still at school, and while lunch, I was studying. The morning, I was doing cardio, etc. I didn’t have to worry about eating, it felt so good. I also did a lot of research, and sugar free gum, black coffee, and diet sodas do not break fasts, which I kinda abused. However, I do not recommend for people under 18-19, since it can stop/slow down growth. But I really enjoyed the experiment and would try it again if I was older (I’m just 15.) Side note: I don’t think I’d do it right now though, because I’m currently eating 4000 calories a day on a bulk, and I don’t see myself eating 4000 calories everyday.

FOR JORDAN: Hey Jordan, big fan, anyways the way the bible is broken up is kind of strange. I don't fully understand it but I decided to read a part of it recently because my friend gave me the gospel according to John. Something you can do is pick one of the gospels to read and it gives you kind of the story of Jesus from the perspective of one of his disciples. I also think that is a manageable amount to read in a week. Something I had a lot of fun doing was translating the gospel according to John into modern English for myself. For example, one passage was about how Jesus passed John and two of his friends so I transcribed it as "Jeezy boy pulled up and my crew frame 1 ditched my goofy ass to follow him." "Where are you sleeping senpi?" asked one of my friends. "uhhhh follow me and I'll show you."

Some advices from someone eating 4000 calories everyday: 1- eat more than 3 meals a day. It is possible, but definitely not enjoyable at all. I personally eat 4 meals with a snack. So 4 900 calories meals with a 400 calories snack. 2- health fats are the most importent thing. Food as peanut butter, olive oil, peanuts, avocado, but also some other food like pasta helps since it’s more calorie dense. 3- liquid calories. I personally eat everyday one or two shakes. I put milk, protein powder, peanut butter, maple syrup and sometimes banana. It is way less filling and easier to consume. 4- I actually, contrary to what Jackson said, do not recommend snacks over the course of the day. It is maybe more of a personal thing, but I only eat a snack directly after working out, snacks take off hunger for my meals, which are something pretty voluminous, so I personally don’t like it. 5- drink a lot of water. It helps your stomach get used to more food, but is just healthy and helps for building muscle overall. 6- track your calories if possible. It isn’t necessary, but helps a tremendous amount. The first few days is a pain in the ass, but after a while it barely takes any tought while making your food. 7- meal prepping. High calories/volume foods aren’t always quick to prepare. So just putting your meals in boxes in advance helps a ton.

Hey Jordan, in Finland when kids turn 15 they are sent to religious camp if they want to go. (Around 75% of the people go, because it's also just a really fun summer camp where you meat new friends). Even though I'm an atheist I went there two weeks ago to learn about christianity because I thought it would be interesting. I wanted to try reading the bible so I asked for recommendations on how to read it. One of the people I met recommended me to start reading the bible from the new testament because that has all the Jesus stuff and she was espescially recommending matt. Chapter 5-7. She also told me to ABSOLUTELY NOT read the bible chronologically but to look up a guide online. The old testament does indeed have way more action, but the new testament is about the life of Jesus. Also btw if you didn't know the old testament is the Jews' religious book and Jesus was actually a jew. Sorry that was really long but I hope you read this and I hope it helps.😊

When reading the Bible for a week, i would definitely recommend one of the four gospels aka the books written by John, Matthew, Markus or Luke. These are all the same story written four diffrent times. This is the story from when Jesus was born untill he died and came back from the dead. After that, you should probably pick up acts. There is a lot of context to this story ofcorse so it's ok to be a little confused. Because the Bible describes a lot of harsh truth, the reading experience wouldn't always leave you feeling good. But it would probably leave you very thoughtful. God bless you all
