I'm growing sweet corn 🌽 but unfortunately it is missing over half of its kernels. Can you help me figure out why so next year I might do better?

@@jamesadcox1030 Plant your corn in blocks (like equal length rows in a square) if possible so the tassels can help pollinate the surrounding stalks. Hope this helps :)

@WinsomeWinslet I did that. Had 4 rows of 7 very close to each other.. it was a humid summer, could that be a reason.

I love this video it was like coming home again❤ it's my second year of watching you all work on the farm and I know exactly what to expect from the vegetables. My grandfather's Farm was in Kentucky and the vegetables were good but they didn't look as good as yours. So when is Daniel getting married and are you in your new home yet? I know Lauren is so very excited. I remember when I got my first home my daughter was a toddler and she loved having her own room. Great Harvest everything looks so good 👋later

I planted cylinder beets this year. Never heard of them until you said they were for Grammy, so I had to try them. I think they’re easier to work with than regular beets. Thanks Grammy!!

My husband, grandson, and I really enjoyed meeting you and your aunt the other day. Thank you for being so gracious. I wanted to tell you that we planted some cubanelle peppers and some hot cherry peppers, and I made and canned up some salsa. Here in southeastern Michigan they are already starting to turn color.

Andrew, remember the issue you had with deer versus red beets last year? Well, they got us today. Our beet patch is only about 40-50 beets. Day 1, they ate the leaves, no issue. Day 2, they ate most of the stems. Today, about 15-20 beets pulled up and lying on the ground. Thankfully, the beets were not damaged so we will be able to eat them. I guess that is the life of a farmer. Sadly, they don't allow deer hunting within our town limits.

I hope you show the cylinder beets when you pull them for Grammy. I've never heard of them before! I also wish somebody in East Central Indiana grew yellow wax beans. I cant get my hands on any this year & couldn't grow my own. 😢 Good job on picking SOOO much all in one day! 👏 👏👏

A Danish saying from business people in the midway business: "You have to make up on the roller coaster rides - for what you loose on the carrousel rides". I think that it's much the same business philosophy for a vegetable and animal farmer - keeping most customers happy regardless of their purchase positive and negative contributions to the collective business profit and success.
