Sorry to say it, but Meghan is spot on here! Picking a WOC for VP does not make up for the skeletons in Bloomberg's closet, NOT everyone on the field has made the same level & number of gaffs as Bloomberg, and just because he's better than Trump (which is, honestly, debatable) does NOT mean he's better than all the other democratic candidates! If the only bar that democratic primary candidates have to surpass to get the nomination is "be slightly better than Trump," we might as well nominate a bucket of dirty water and be done with it. Or, if you want a physical person, I guess we could go with Bill Weld. He's got most of the same views as Bloomberg, will appeal to the Republicans I keep being told are so important, and at least he's been consistent in his policies (vs. what Politico calls Bloomberg's "vigorous flip-floppery"). His campaign slogan can be "Better Than Trump, but I can still get some Republicans!" since that's apparently all that matters. Actually, you know what? Where's MY nomination? I'm better than Trump, and I have a huge family of mostly-Republicans who would vote for me. That means I qualify, right?

Bloomberg spent over $6 million fighting the Central Park 5 lawsuit. That's ACTION. Not rhetoric. He apologized. That's nice. But I haven't seen action that proves a change in mindset.
