Speaking of poverty driven crimes, how about getting arrested at Walmart for ringing up grapes as bananas at self checkout. As of being banned from that grocery store isn’t enough punishment, also Facing over $200 in court costs and fines, and having to do community service plus having an arrest on your record that doesn’t go away. Now when applying for jobs so you make enough money to buy groceries and pay your bills, nobody will give you a chance. Nobody will hire you with an arrest on your record. it seems severe and extreme over groceries.

Felicity Huffman was on an abc drama for over five seasons... she made multiple hundreds of thousands of dollars an episode, over twenty episodes, times five. Zero sympathy. There are MANY great actors who can't book jobs and are also ethical people, so maybe one of them will land the roles that are no longer going to her. Bless x

Many actresses admit that being a 40+ woman in Hollywood is hard. Heck Reece Witherspoon admitted she had to go out and make her own production company to get to act in the roles she wanted. Irrelevant of a crime it is hard out there. Do I think she will struggle to find the first people to take her on, yes, but I think she will act again. Maybe not as a lead on a hugely successful show. But none the cast of desperate housewives had since the show ended.

She was mostly known as a TV actress. They just decided not to move forward with the lawyer show spinoff of the Good Doctor, which was part of the cast. I have always respected how Felicity Huffman took responsibility and she went to jail. She took responsibility and has been honest. She served her time. As noted on this television, there are so many people who have committed greater crimes and had no consequences or remorse I hope she find forgiveness and hold her head up high. I don't believe her sins are any greater than mine or most people on this earth. One can hear the pain and regret in her voice. How long does she have to carry shame and humiliation? I do love that she noted she has people who love her and can abide in the love of her friends and family. I will support any acting project she pursues. Let's all send her love and forgiveness. Much of bitterness from other comments seems focused on the wealth and celebrity status. I definitely can identify such resentments in my own heart, but they are just human and her suffering is just real as our own. And she is continuing to work with the organization, New Way of Life to help previously incarcerated.

I have little sympathy for the very wealthy/powerful who choose to cheat to get ahead and who had plenty of resources to understand and proceed on the legitimate path. It was heartening to see the justice system make sure to punish these perpetrators. Esp. when so many in wealth/power suggest that the system is fair and the primary reason for commoners struggling to make it is some personal failing. It was also surprisingly helpful to those of us who had none of these "legacy", network, test-fraud, and other ways the wealthy/powerful cheat to get ahead: The Varsity Blues scandal totally cured our imposter syndrome! We KNOW now we totally earned our degrees and our jobs. 🙂

Those rich kids ended up taking spots in Colleges they didn't earn. They have money for tutors. A poor child with straight A's trying to better their status can't now cause of these situations

🤔Is it just me who thinks Sunny would be capable of doing something like this? I'm not implying anything. I'm just saying if it were to ever happen, I wouldn't be SHOCKED. 😮

The problem is how entitled and elites what she did was. The average person hates what her actions represents. I wouldn’t hesitate to go see her in a movie, many people probably believe she has paid for her actions, but the industry is very gun shy about offending. Also, her child was embarrassed, but that’s because she did not put in the effort to get the score she needed to go to a good school, and now everyone knows it.

if she never works in show biz again, it will be too soon. STOP AUTOMATICALLY FORGIVING actresses from hit shows just so you get to see them again in new shows and have more guests to interview. This sounds like people who are just preparing a future interview with good ratings.

The system which allows students' scores to be manipulated in favor of admission, does it then allow for the grades of these students to be manipulated as well? There's more to this, clearly.

Love all of Felicity's roles. I agree, she done her time, but, not everyone is a Martha Stewart or a famous musician, and have deals ready upon release from custody. Also, Felicity is a woman of a particular age, so, of you're a Meryl Streep, the phone calls start slowing down. I do hope to see her land a tv or movie roll. She's a fantastic actress

Speaking a point of view of someone who doesn’t have kids of my own, but has plenty of nephews and nieces… Your responsibility as a parent is to prepare them for the world the best you can. If you have a name/platform/connection, sure. Go ahead and use that to get them in the door. Get them that interview. There’s nothing wrong with that. It’s like being a referral for your friend to get a job. But you do not do the work for them. If they don’t make it, it sucks, but there will be other opportunities. I can sympathize with her, but I don’t agree with her.
