it's pretty much only a matter of rushing the ai as fast a possible to cripple it enough which should be easy in 3v1 but that's easier said than done

@@DTTaTa In a 3v3 with other players, they were one person short. So they added one AI, the aformementioned King Sancho. King Sancho pestered Viper with "Wood please!" requests, but survived till the end and even did some work after beeing slinged by Viper. That of course led the whole chat to credit the victory to King Sancho, who "carried the poor silver boi".

This was amazing to watch! I'm relatively new to AoE2 and recently tried 2 AI on a pretty easy difficulty, think I was more nervous and stressed than Viper with 5 Extreme AI. It's kind of hard for us noobs with APM of like 1 per hour! Still it's pretty fun to play and learn some new things through time. Thanks for posting this!

Lion aggro is linked to the difficulty setting, so extreme brings them from the furthest distances to attack your wormans

im always thinking the same when i watch theese videos, it seems that the IA doesnt have any army at all, everytime i tried to atack the IA the fastest i can in this dificulty, when i reach to the IA , already has a lot of archers or militia

bad coding. AI follows certain parameters when prioritizing. Most likely AI out booms you early game pre 10 minutes and masses faster than you. If you watch viper he is always ahead of AIs pre 5-10 minutes. When AI is rushed this early they dont immediately counter because they are still following their defined build path. ofcourse there are variations

this, and also, non-adjacent AI players tend to put more emphasis on booming, so they do to some extent actually utilize the concept of flanks and pockets

I guess this was before some patch where the AI was programmed to just make endless skirmishers? Even on moderate or Hard, when I do archer rushes, the AI is already prepared in early feudal with like 15 skirm/archers army

When you raise the dificulty Gaia also is afected by it. The higher the dificulty of a map the further away wolves, lions and such can detect you from.

@Ulf Knudsen Yes, that's what I am trying to achieve. I should drush/men-at-arms by 8:30/9 (standard 1.7), but I don't know I feel slugish playing against AI. Trying to outrun the AI economy is a waste of time, they always win. But what they don't do i early raiding, so maybe it's the way to go indeed.

I don't think it's the same Extreme AI that I fight because Extreme AI that i know they starting rush in feudal age and that will never stop until your resource got destroyed

You can take on the AI at full spam mode with Teutons. Their biggest disadvantage is that they're dumb. You can have 50 teutonic knights guarded by a castle and healed by monks, covered by BBC, and they can stay alive virtually forever. Then you just sit there and let them run out of gold and pow, you win.
