Top 10 VRoid Tips and Tricks that I’ve discovered after using VRoid for over a year. There are so many tiny things that will make your life sooooo much easier! Whether that’s optimizing for VRChat or removing clipping, you’re sure to come out of this video as a VRoid pro :)

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought to make a hat out of hair. It was a bit janky because I didn't fully understand the hair tools, but it worked fine. It actually helped to add to the lore of my character as I came up with an idea to explain why the hat looks like that.

I’ve gotten as far along as making a few models with VRoid then doing nothing for it for about a month; hopefully this makes me want to continue with the process to eventually start streaming or content creation in general with at least one or two VTuber avatars again.

In this video at around 6:36 you said that one can add items to their avatar in unity, could you make a video on how to do that specifically with vroid? I've been wondering if something like that was possible, because I've only seen people do it in blender and it seems quite complicated.

i dont know if you have done this in another video but id love like an accesory "out of the head" guide i made some belts for my avatar and they are "attached" to my head movements

Awesome work, Phia~ I don't have a computer, & have been trying to use vroid mobile to transfer from my tablet. So far 😣😥 No luck. I was curious if you still did commissions!!! For the first tip you should really take the model into blender/maya and delete the mesh. Mesh under mesh is why so many avatars have way too many polys.

later in the video she talks about the option of deleting transparent meshes in vroid to reduce the poly count. Wouldn't this method be effective without having to use another program or do you still suggest taking it into blender/maya?

@@vulpix3337 Stable automatically deletes any transparent meshes, so yes, there's no need to do that in Maya/Blender anymore.

Tried making my first avatar for vrchat with vroid. But for some reason the character imports as knock-kneed making it a bit creepy. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? can't seem to find any information on it.

for the white texture i have a simular but easier fix. duplicate the base layer toggle the lock on the duplicate choose youre color and draw over the eyebrows

I can't get my vroid to export to quest. Does the SDK have to be 1.0 or 2.0? I'm using a 3.0 with the old tutorial from this channel

hi! from what I know, the UniVRM exporter that is usually used to export models is not compatible with the 3.0 SDK. you would need the 2.0 SDK.

Phia, I know in the past you've mentioned purchasing premade VRoid outfits to bring into VRoid Studio, but is there any way to make your own outfits, and be able to bring them into VRoid studio?

you're able to import normal images into VRoid and pretty much all VRoid outfits are using the same base mesh, so you just gotta be creative with how you do your textures.

@@alienjr. As far as I'm aware, pretty much all outfits you buy or download are actually textures on top of clothing meshes that are already in Vroid, they just use transparency very well

I found the male bone rig is so flawed it doesn’t even work in VRC desktop. I had to reposition almost all the bones to get full body to work right. The female model is good to go besides the lower leg needing a slight angle to prevent shaking legs.

It definitely helps, but at the same time you can get through with no background in it. Although I would say being able to edit photos at least a little bit is incredibly helpful

Thank you for all these tutorial videos! It helps considering I'm kinda sorta making an avatar from scratch...ish. Like I tried to pay for a commission from whatever avatar artist a whiiile back, but either they A) suddenly close their commissions even though I've asked BEFORE they closed..B) just forget since I wasn't persistent but even if I was they'll just get mad...or C) won't bother because I'm irrelevant and not some big named Vtuber/VRChat tuber..which is petty and ignorant, but hey..."tWeNtY TwEnTy" mentality I guess. Anyway, sorry for my rant but again thank you for these tutorial videos. Keep it up and have a good day.
