I think only the Russian girl understood the emotion of the song. It's a deeply political, historical and emotionally charged song for Irish people and she nailed it.

The IRA set off a bomb in Warrington, Cheshire, England outside of shops. It's pretty charged for all. Especially for Johnathan Ball (3 yr) and Tim Parry (12 yr). Three-year-old Johnathan Ball had been in town with his babysitter, shopping for a Mother's Day card.

I think the Russian girl was the best of the bunch, but I wouldn't say she understood the emotion of the song. The song isn't filled with wrath and ire, there is anguish there too. Russian girl sounded like a fighter, and the song is strongly opposing that.

The Russian woman, the first performer in my opinion.... Was by far, the best one for a few reasons. First of all, she was so passionate about the song, and she made sure others did too. She sang it with pure, raw heart because she knew exactly what the meaning of the song was... which is my reason #2... The song about war, political history, and the many lives lost because of it.. making it a very deep and powerful song... Which requires a strong and powerful voice and performance to do it justice. Most people sing it as if it's a love song... which it is NOT! And my last reason is because she put her own unique twist on it, one that works very well! Not only with the metal genre, but the energy she had in it. It was almost as if she was rebelling against the sad reality of the song. Dolores would be so proud of her!

As a dutchie from a irish mother and a dutch father. They met on his vacation. He stayed for a couple of years. I can say she absolutely did. And I really felt that. My father was a firefighter and was called in to the actual incident on march 20 1993 at warrington. He was badly injured getting people out of the rubble ... not many people understand the actual meaning of this song. My parents actually made the decision to move back to Holland after the recovery. But for Ireland this was a huge thing. IRA didn’t lay down their arms untill 2005. I wasn't even born at that point. I came one year later on march 9 1994. Darya absolutely nailed it.

Maybe I'm projecting, but I feel like the difference between the Daria and everyone else is that everyone else picked a song that they thought they thought fit their voiced range well and they could play with. Daria sounds like she picked a song that she genuinely loves, and you can hear it with how passionately she sings it compared to everyone else. That's why it stands out.

It's political, when you realise that the politic is the one responsible for all the wars and deaths and all the suffering (on that particular country as per the song) but from the way she sang it, on any country we are living in. 🤷🏻♂️ Once you reach the 'Fuck it' state of mind level you do realise that the way she sang the song makes more sense. At least according to my point of view.

The Russian Girl it's by far the best singing this song! I don't know if she's singing in a higher ton, but sounds way more powerful than the original one! Rip to Dolores, but the Girl brought this song to MARS and back to EARTH. RESPECT

She is a PRO. Thats why she sang like there was nor judges nor public nor millions russians looking at the tv. She has 2 bands, docens of discs and performs like 100 concerts per year. She also has the greatest voice i ever heard. Not to speak about her soul, feeling, precense and beauty

Are you shitting me she completely fucked the song just like the one from the states the best one was the second one the first and last sounded like they were trying too hard to hit high notes when the song is about The Troubles and an IRA bombing that killed two young kids it's supposed to be grungy and melancholy and when you hear those two people sing the song they just make it sound awful to listen to.

I doubt You were able to listen to all of her songs in Slot and Nuki (Nooki).. She is the author and co-author of more than 200 songs, at 11 LP.

At first, I perceive the first who sang wasn't that good enough cause I didn't understand her dictions but then when the chorus, when she sang the 'what's in your head' and reached the high notes, I said 'wow'! Now. That was passion!
