I've been singing all my life. But I am not going to ever sing like Dimash. But I've always been driven by the advice I was given by a choir teacher many, many years ago in High School. Rule 1: you should always being increasing or decreasing volume. Rule 2: if you are gonna be wrong, be wrong at the top of you voice. Loved Mrs. Harvey, and she got me started. Made the Texas State Choir in 1978 due to her training and encouragement.

You are so right! Dimash has worked so hard, sacrificed a lot to fulfill his dream, his passion. There is an interview of him as a child saying that his dream had always been a singer, an interpreter, to have his own concert and inspire people. He also dreamt of showing his country and culture to the world. He is very hardworking and mature. He also said that he works so hard to be in the place he is now, but we only need to enjoy the results of his work and efforts. I really admire his work ethic and personality.

Oh yeah. I've watched that interview with the very young Dimash. Was he 10? I'm not sure. It made me teary eyed because all his dreams came true or at least are coming true. It was as if he knew. What interest me the most was that even as a little boy, he talked with such maturity. As an adult, he spreads so much positivity not just through his words but also through his strong but graceful actions. Not just a rare artist but also a rare human being. He is truly one of a kind.

Welcome to the world of Dimash. He is a once in a lifetime level of talent. He has something like a 6 octave range, ranging up to a D8 (yeah, that's off the piano). You should follow his journey on the Chinese "I am a Singer" competition. He came out of basically nowhere and blew up internationally overnight. He can sing literally anything. Pop, Opera, folk songs, he even raps in one of his live performances. He plays 5 or more instruments, sings in at least 12 languages. There are very few bad performances - and "bad" is a relative term here, but the only one I can think of off the top of my head was his debut in the World's Best, where he was sick and jet lagged, and he still got a standing ovation. Start with S.O.S. and Opera 2 and just work your way around from there. The absolute "must see" performance that shows most of his range and technical ability is "Sinful Passion" Seriously just watch them all and your channel will blow up with support from the Dimash fan clubs (there are quite a few).

Dimash started when he was 5 years old, his mother is an opera singer his father also sings he plays several instruments and he speaks several different languages when he's performing. If you want to know more about this miracle baby that we adore around the world right now look up his story he's so humble so generous I think that heaven put his seed in his mother's womb and when she gave birth she gave him to us. They are so proud of him they don't have any words to say he's not shy he's so relaxed on stage as though he was sitting in his living room. He studies everybody's movements everybody's charisma and hand movement and body movement. He takes any music given to him and change it to fit his personality. And all those music that's been sung by other people he made it sound like it's the first time we ever heard it. So he made all that music brand new. I believe he's a walking talking breathing genius. He reaches your soul and he grabs it. Old people like me and others Can't Get Enough of his style and his music we listen to it all day and all night. If you look closely have his concerts you can see boys girls and grownups a crying. I have never met anyone in my life that can do that and still continue to do that and everything he does. He can do Opera with the best of them out there. He's an actor which such Grace that he can be in any movie. The wonderful thing about it you don't have to understand his language to know what he's singing to you you can feel it through every fiber I feel body.

Dimash did sing in 12 languages but what is the 13th? I did count with the help of a fan/dear that he plays 8 instruments. His parents are both famous singers and also his sister is a very talented singer. His mother told that he was 2 when first on stage. Dimash did sing very low this song but not very high. And Dimash at the Slavic Bazaar is very good from 2018. But did you see his SOS at Uzbekistan from 2019? kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jtuViKtyqdiog4U.html

Hello Thanks for your Great Analysis and Honest Reaction.. Your 99.9% correct Dimash is one of a kind Genetics is a Funny thing Both his Parents are Great Vocalists in their Country and Dimash got both of their Vocal Genes lol Dimash loves what he does:) What amazes me how some people look to put him down I know that 2-5% of people are tone deaf and probably a little jealousy added in.. This man is an exceptional vocalist and knows every technique in the book and more and performs them to perfection :) Dimash is like Usain Bolt in Sprinting, Tiger Woods in Golf, William Sister in Tennis and Mark Phelps in Swimming they all raise the Bar. That's a good thing for vocalist of the future and for us listeners:)

Thank you so much for recognizing the hardwork and sacrifice that Dimash has made (along with the "freakish " natural talent). I thank God that he had the support system in place to not only train him, but nurture it along the way. It has been forged by a passion for music that IS unstoppable. He has said...if you cut open my heart, there is music... if you cut open my mind, there is music. It is his life's purpose. His earliest memories at the age of one or two are of pretending to sing on a stage. This young man was BORN TO SING. He is the BEST! ❤❤

WOOT! Christi, when I saw you were finally going to see Dimash in action I literally freaked out! You *have* to react to more of his stuff, you haven't heard or seen 1/4 of what he is capable of. You probably think I'm just exaggerating when I say that, but I'm not, and many others here will confirm you've only seen the tip of this iceberg. - If you want hear jaw-dropping vocal agility, plus breath control, plus a super-rare vocalization technique that will leave you in shock, check out his Sochi performance of "Sinful Passion". - If you want to hear the almost unbelievable highest register of his voice, check out his Gakku Concert performance of "Unforgettable Day". - If you want to hear him do a dramatic Broadway play style of tune, see his duet from the "Notre Dame De Paris" musical that he did with famed bass Sundet Baigozhin. - His seminal hit is "S.O.S. - A Soul's Plea" that he sang in French. His "The Singer 2017" version is what most people are introduced to him through and is very powerful. It is one of his most viewed videos, but his Slavic Bazaar version of the same song is almost vocal perfection. - Finally, if you just want to binge Dimash (which you will, I *guarantee*), just check out all 12 of his performances on the "The Singer 2017" competition. You'll hear Lionel Ritchie's "Hello", Queen's "The Show Must Go On", "All By Myself", and so many others, and he absolutely slays every... single... one.

He's not only a singer he is the most kind and gentle person you can meet. Dimash has set a new foundation for singing, that ppl will have to consider before call them selves singers. He has revolutionized the singing industry for ever. That ending alone is masters by its self.

Christi, Dimash calls his fans "dears" because he truly does love them; it's not just a commercial thing. (For example, he flies commercial airlines and is happy to meet and greet in airports; he sings in the rain for 45 mins because people had queued for hours, and then is openly wistful because the TV production crew is shooing him offstage, etc., etc. :-) ) He is simply a genuine, lovely human being. The "dears" below have suggested excellent song choices for you. I wanted you to know we are awaiting an announcement any day regarding his first solo US concert date in NYC. Tentatively, it is set for Oct 23 at MSG, in the Hulu venue, but that has not been confirmed. If you can get away, it will be the first US concert in what we hope will be a lifetime of artistry that we are blessed to observe. Stay tuned for info? Tickets will undoubtedly go quickly. And thank you for your pep talk. I'm mid-career and have been dreaming about taking up a specific instrument. I need to make that a reality. :-)

I'm actually realizing that I need to break the videos up to stay in compliance with copyright laws. You will see that change in the weeks to come. It kills me because I am very reverential about an artist's performance BUT I am also very aware that showing the video in totality is an infringement on the artist's ownership of their property. If you want to get some insight as to his abilities, I would suggest you begin with his performances on The Singer 2017 competition show out of China where he placed second (14 episodes) and then follow his new songs around 2018-19 and you will be amazed at his maturity and singing abilities. This one you just reacted to is his very best todate.

@@soakedbearrd I understand the Chinese people could not let a outsider win this contest so he placed second. The others were professional people and he was just an invited contestant. They made a mistake as far as we Dears are concerned. Hope you continue to enjoy his music. He is so good.

👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Thank you!!!! Love your reaction, your comments, your advice! My suggestions? A good sample portfolio song : SOS d’un Terrien en Detresse (maybe the performance at the 2018 Slavianski Bazaar, but also the Singer 2017 is great too if you overlook the few small lyrics errors). For amazing expression of emotions, The Meaning of Eternity (use the one from Dimash’s own channel). For the most mind blowing vocal acrobatics ever, Sinful Passion at the Sochi New Wave. For the highest note ever recorded by Dimash -a D8- Unforgettable Day at the Gakku concert (incidentally, Dimash himself composed this song at the age of 29). For pure enjoyment, Ocean Over the Time (which won the Hollywood Music in Media Award 2017, for Best Soundtrack for Video Game). For pure entertainment, Opera 2. Having said that, every single performance is a joy to listen to or watch. /from Dimash USA Fan Club 🇺🇸

I have been watching a lot of reactors to Dimash but I have discovered you just now. Thank you for sharing your views. The first time that I heard Dimash sings and saw him performed, it became my daily habit and I am a proud dear. Please dig more on his other performances. He's one of a kind and no one sings like him. I tell you, his performances are mind-blowing. Most of the time, I just say...oh wow... it's so beautiful. Please react more on Dimash. One of his best for me is Sinful Passion. Likewise Mademoiselle Hyde, Love of Tired Swans, SOS, Adagio and a lot more. Thanking you in advance.

Dimash is definitely a gift. I really appreciate your reaction and thoughts on Dimash. I loved watching your face. Something tells me mine looked similar the first times I hear a new song of his. I do mean each song as they all are just different and beautiful. One of my favourite quotes “challenges are what makes life interesting...overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.” As to other songs there are so many. SOS (French)will be highly recommended my favourite performances of it are the Slavic Bazaar 2018 and his newest Uzbekistan. Autumn Strong/Late Autumn. (Mandarin)Is my favourite song from the singer 2017 (I suggest Gloria Wu’s channel it has translation and the back story which enhances his performance) Daybreak (Mandarin) Bastau Concert also at his Bastau concert The Diva Dance (Alien)haha. Diva Dance is under 2 mins though it might take you 5 to get you brain working after 🤣 Sinful Passion(Kazakh)and The Love of Tired Swans(Russian)are both amazing Daididai (Kazakh....for the back story and translation I would suggest again Gloria Wu’s channel ). There are excellent performances of this at any concert. The back story though is worth knowing English songs.. he is still learning English and it is improving I personally don’t mind the mistakes I find them charming. Mademoiselle Hyde (2019) is new and wonderful...Adaggio , The Show must go on. Or the Queen Medley with the Super Vocal Boys(2019). Just stay away from The Worlds Best there was nothing Best about how they cut all the singers performances. Any of Dimash’s performances are wonderful so you will surely find some you enjoy I know. These are just a few of the standout performances.

Dear Christi, I loved your reaction but I wished Dimash's singing technics wouldn't have disturbed you from the emotions he was conveying from the song. I would recommend you another touching soul song: Late Autumn. It was originally a Japanese song which was translated into Chinese. It was Dimash's very first Chinese song, when he participated in the Chinese singing contest the "Singer 2017" (Jessie J was the winner of that contest in 2018) where his popularity really soared and made him famous. The song has English subtitles. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gdOZZcaHztDIfaM.html You will notice Dimash is not only good at singing but especially at interpreting the song with his stage presence, attitude and body language.

@@TheVoiceLoveCo Dimash masters all the ranges of his voice (very wide) with different voice colors and textures. I don't think his aim is to show off but his different "voices" are like different strings he can choose to play, to reach and share the desired emotions with his public. His sense of interpretation and operatic background helps him to incorporate dynamics in pop songs he is revisiting (all my myself, hello from Lionel Richie, my heart will go on). Lately, he has even been adding folk melodies to pop songs, mixing harmoniously modernity and traditions. The one and only drawback he has though, is when it comes at singing in English where he still has some progress to do but he is working on it. His career is mainly in China (though he is performing at different places on the world) which is the reason why he is more focus on his Chinese pronunciation than English pronunciation. Multiple singing styles/voices is Dimash's signature but I do believe what he is best is to convey emotions to his listeners, even in a language we don't even understand.

There are no bad Dimash songs to choose from as each song is unique and a treat to discover. SOS from The Singer competition was when Dimash 1st stepped onto the world's stage. Here is a link to a discussion with Fu Lin, who is the head of the Chinese Pop Musicians Association. This took place very early during the Singer competition where he listens to Dimash for the very first time sing SOS. For at least half of Dimash's performance he had his eyes closed just listening. The way he talked about Dimash was far different then a typical YT vocal coach reaction video. He never once used words chest voice, mixed voice, head voice, falsetto, etc. He talked Dimash's ability to transition, his incredible agility, and his great breathing technique. And while his range is incredible, it's more important that he's hitting extreme notes with ease, freedom and confidence. Near the end he talks about the hard work needed, but also about taking chances to expand and grow professionally. He first heard about Dimash from his 14 year old granddaughter who would play Dimash on repeat. Now that he has experienced Dimash for the first time, he describes Dimash with the word...EPIC! kzfaq.info/get/bejne/sK5dZMd1r7DGo4E.html

Love's like a dream I look into your eyes like in a mirror, Afraid of losing my reflection in it. I don't want you to be only a passer-by In the darkness of nights and in the destiny of mine. I love you so like once in life As if there was no sun before us. You've taken me away of anxiety and quarrels. And found the keys of happiness for me. Found them for me. This love, this very dream-like love A crystal-clear chime of hearts And your miraculous “I love” Repeat I will with faint echo This love, this very dream-like love Has made my home full of happiness. In spite of laws of dreaming May not this love come to an end I do forgive the Loneliness and Sadness You’ve said they will be never back It takes place only while sweet dreams But our love exists here and now I do hope to avoid the loosing of myself into your eyes I hope, we won’t change our love for loneliness. I’ve deserved the pleasure of being by your side With impossible price and my own dreams. I’ve deserved the pleasure of being with you forever, Being with you forever. This love, this very dream-like love A crystal-clear chime of hearts And your miraculous “I love” Repeat I will with faint echo This love, this very dream-like love Has made my home full of happiness. Listning to your reaction, I can tell you are one of the real deal. There are many many reactors on YT but your reaction was really in truly what Pro Voice Coaches can tell people. If someone want to sing like Dimash, he/she must train professionally and has good genes too. Dimash's mother is a soprano singer and his father is a singer/music producer. Dimash performed on stages and TVs since he was young. He took 1st place on every singing competitions. He never was 2nd in his life until the Chinese competition. He took The Most Popular Singer( China) and The Best Foreign Singer (Hong Kong). I could be wrong but that is my understanding.

This is one of his most recent performances. You should look into The Singer 2017, when he was competing in China as kind of an underdog, because absolutely nobody knew who he was. I recommend his very first poerformance on that show which blew everyone away (which is hilarious to see in peoples faces in the audience as well as his competitors) - the first song was SOS after that I would recommend these Opera 2 from The Singer Sinfull Passion from the Sochi Concert Adagio from The Singer Contessa/Diva Dance from The Singer Daybreak from the Bastau Concert All by Myself from Bastau Diva Dance from Bastau And then some newer stuff like Love of tired Svans and Mademoiselle Hyde You're in for an amazing ride.
