Btw, the mix is quite “boomy”. I cut @112 Hz -10.0 dB Q 10.0, and boosted everything above 500 Hz +2.0 dB (and some other tweaks). You might like to try how that sounds.

I think this fitted his voice perfectly (wvery song so far has done that). Erlend is so humble too, and I dont think he knows how good he is. As every time, he was so surprised when he was chosen by Matoma and said he couldnt believe it. He said in the camera after he was chosen: «Suddenly he said my name. A lightning struck me. It came out of nowhere, I dont know what happened I didnt expect that. It waw crazy»

@@In_my_own_mind I agree! And there is something mesmerizing about his voice that completely knocks me down everytime he opens his mouth. And I’m not really into country music at all.. I think he’s becoming my new favourite😍

@@In_my_own_mind I just thought it was too clean; you know like when an Elvis impersonator starts singing; you know it’s great, they know their craft, it sounds good and all but something’s off and you can’t really tell why. It was definitely weird at the beginning but further into the song it didn’t feel that way anymore. It actually could be that I associate that song with a completely different vibe and it just felt wrong to me. I’d prefer Erlend sing a Chris Stapelton song LOL 🙈 Yes, completely different tone, but I’d actually love to hear his grittier and rockier country side. Maybe it’s not his style, but I think it wouldn’t hurt to tone down the technique and control a bit and just get a natural comfortable side of him. Maybe he’s not that self-assured, thanks for pointing that out :) (unfortunately I only see the performances) and that’s why he’s trying to show everything he’s got at all times...sometimes a little less is more. I think I’d love to hear him sing a rockier country song just with a guitar...if that makes sense? 😂😂 But honestly, this sounds like worst complaining on a high level. I truly think this guy is exceptionally good and back in the 50s & 60s women would have fainted all over the place and Sir Tom Jones would have gotten a true country competitor. 😂Erlend has a bright future in the music industry. I’m super confident about that. I’d sign him right away. There’s a huge market for a guy like him. It’s going to be interesting to see where he’ll be 5 years from now...
