Diana Fleischman, PhD will be the opening speaker at 'A Day on Evolutionary Psychology' at The Weekend University on Sunday 25th November 2018.
Her talk will focus on the foundations of evolutionary psychology; particularly how your emotions, thought patterns, perceptions, and social interactions have been shaped by millions of years of evolutionary history.
Diana is a Senior Lecturer in Evolutionary Psychology at the University of Portsmouth. After an internship at a chimpanzee research facility, Diana earned her PhD in evolutionary psychology at the University of Texas at Austin studying hormonal influences on disgust sensitivity.
After two research positions, one investigating handwashing and the other looking at hormonal influences on women's psychology, Diana arrived at Portsmouth where she researches disgust and teaches a course on the Psychology of Human Sexuality. Diana is currently working on a popular book applying evolutionary psychology and animal training to romantic relationships. You can follow Diana on twitter @sentientist.

It is quite interesting, but it is still a very mechanical understanding/view of the brain. There will come a time when all views will join together (instead of competing) as part of one unique truth: we are much more of what we can actually realize...

Did my comment get faded out? Anyway, nobody is going to consciously admit to you that they are playing a game because they’re a product of natural selection. You can never intellectualize evo psychology to another person - Never! she is simply talking about baseline arguments in video but the game theory competitive nitty gritty stuff that goes more in depth is something almost on a taboo level when talking to another person who’s mind is designed to play them out on a social level
