Wonderful news for the 2001 Planet of the Apes reboot. There's a new Planet of the Apes movie called Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes and it's not linked to that movie at all. I loved this movie so much! There is room for Planet of the Apes to be an adventure/fantasy world, and this movie embraced that to great success. Personally, I liked this movie more than War, and either way, this the best ‘plug and play’ of these movies; I can watch it from any point and have a great time. And even if I had this movie as last in the franchise, even a bad POTA film is better than 80% of the other movies coming out. Loved it! 😊

Kingdom is not the best film of the franchise but it's up there as it is far from the worse. It's a nice rejuvenation piece and it still has a connection the the recent Caesar trilogy. The CGI is brilliant and realistic and although slow at times it maintains traditional sci-fi beats.
