Support The Interview with Karan Thapar - fij.mojo.page/...
In an interview where he discusses in depth both why he believes China will be more provocative going forward and the implications and impact of that on India’s China relationship, Australia’s former Prime Minister, an internationally acknowledged authority on China, has said: “India should expect continued assertiveness from Beijing”. He adds “It appears unlikely that Beijing will offer any concessions on the border question”.
In a 40-minute interview to Karan Thapar for The Wire, Kevin Rudd, who is presently the Global President of the Asia Society and has recently written a very well received book on China called “The Avoidable War: The Dangers of a Catastrophic Conflict between the US and Xi Jinping’s China”, says he believes Xi Jinping plans to continue as President of China till 2037. This suggests that the assertiveness and provocative nature of Beijing’s relationship with India is likely to continue till then. Mr. Rudd said: “He will not be predisposed to compromise on what he perceives to be his core interests, including the territorial integrity of the motherland”.

Guess who created the Asia Society and it’s key funder? Rockefeller Foundation. Read the book below . So it is somewhat jarring, even at times amusing, to read an attack from the opposite direction: that large American foundations have become insidious agents of capitalism and American global domination. Yet that is the main argument of a new book by Inderjeet Parmar, Foundations of the American Century: The Ford, Carnegie, and Rockefeller Foundations in the Rise of American Power. Parmar is a professor of government in the United Kingdom and author of previous books on the Anglo-American relationship and the role of think tanks in foreign policy.

Thank you. In my opinion as an American who lived in China for 4 years, Kevin Rudd is an old Chinese hand. I am new to The Wire, but the interviewer asked important, India-centric questions which the world needs to know; India is important. In my opinion, this interview was important both to Chinese people and to pro-democracy constituents (The West).

The ending of the video is very telling about Kevin's view about geo-politics. And it is this: "Hunt in packs". (as in a pack of wolves.) The Chinese will be the Jews, very potentially a holocaust of some sort would happen if Americans of all so-called "values" (or rather persuasions) will coalesce to "neutralize" in Guantanamo (or Auzwitch) 2.0, if a kinetic war breaks out over Taiwan?

Karan Thapar slapped Rudd, when he mentioned that shared values are or should be a common theme for the Quad, so what does it speak of values, to have India buy cheap Russian oil at the expense of the Ukrainians. Rudd had been sucking up to India all the while, so am proud a subcontinent person brought up values over oil. Well done sir, respect from Pakistan.

India should try to make BRICKS into a NATO-like military alliance and, in the process, settle its border with China. This will also bring Pakistan to heal. Even if Border issue is resolved, China wants to hold a dominant position in every sphere including areas of traditional Indian influence in wider south east Asia. Did you not hear Kevin Rudd talk about China policy of year 2049. brics is increasingly only good as a hedging bet for India. Pakistan is like a dead weight tied to India's one leg to drag it down - while not created by china but china takes advantage of this Pakistan dead weight to keep India absorbed and exhausted by it. China will continue supporting Pakistan regardless of anything else. India and China's strategic interests do not converge.

Most of these people had predicted that India will not survive as one Nation for long, and they have been proved wrong. The problem is people in the west don't understand eastern civilizations. People in Australia have no problem living under US domination, I don't think we in India should share the same view

The USCGC Oliver Henry was out patrolling for illegal fishing in the region when it attempted and failed to gain access to Honiara port for refueling, the news agency wrote on Friday.Reports on social media suggested that a British navy ship had also been refused port access this week.

Really insightful. I might be wrong with this but I think that we are overstating the challenge of close Russia China collaboration for India for the following reasons. 1) As far as areas of collaboration are concerned whether it's the fuel purchase or the Ukraine war, India & China are on the same side from a Russian point of view, of course there is a difference of capability but the option out for Russia is not that simple. 2) Keeping the racism factor aside, even if Russia becomes increasingly dependent on China, it would surely like to have leverage over it, and that leverage would firstly & foremostly come from India.

America will remain tolerant of Indias defiance of US sanctions up to a point. It will however ultimately hurt India’s interest as Russia is Declining power.. Modis double game will fail to indias disadvantage..Kevin Rudd is a thoughtful analyst of global affiairs…

SC ST OBC aadivaasis dalits etc are NOT Hindus technically speaking. No human beings in their right mind would accept slavery in the form of hand written communal casteist divisive biased tanatani commandments from the most divisive inhumane book manusmriti. That adds to the logical essence the mind derives practically observing - RSS is the oldest terrorist organization in the world. Now that's the common sense of leading international unbiased media houses like Washington Post and The Guardian that cites NDTV shares purchased by Surrender Modis ally Adani is a matter of grave concern for freedom of speech, justice and religious polarization in India.
