While the band is obviously named after Jon, I never saw it as "Jon's band" - I always saw it as a partnership between him and Richie. Just TOO bad how that ended. I'm always hoping for them to reunite. 🤘😎👍

I believe, and I’m not 100% sure, that the triple neck was mandolin, 6 string, 12 string. This performance always gives me goosebumps. Jon and Richie’s voices were made for each other. And even though Richie’s no longer in the band, we have these moments to look back on with❤ Thanks, guys, for the great review, as always.

What a great time to be growing up. When we had REAL Rockstars, that played real instrumemts and were there to give their fans an experience of a lifetime. When you went to the shows you felt the energy and the love. I thank them all for such unforgettable experiences. I also thank the ones as I watch them enjoying these bands for the first time. @Jd. I turned eighteen in April, 1986, and graduated high school just a month or two later. I most definitely agree with you in saying it was a great time to have grown up! I caught many rock concerts in the 80s and loved every one! Back then, Bon Jovi was my ultimate favorite, and I saw them with Cinderella on March 27th, 1987 in the former Omni in Atlanta. I was blown away!!

Interesting fact about Bon Jovi and their third album, they toured with KISS in 1985 as their opening act, and got allot of advice from Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley regarding the music business, he asked Paul if he could work on their next album, he advised to give Desmond Child a call, and thats how we got the iconic Bon Jovi album "Slipper When Wet".

Great reaction! I haven't seen this version. Richie has an immaculate voice. I personally think he sings better than Jon. Both are great though. Jon got most of the attention as the lead singer.

@Jeffrey Flint Dude, you ain't lyin'!! I was at the Atlanta show, March 24th, 1987 in the former Omni. I was just one month shy of my nineteenth birthday and I'll forever fondly remember that amazing experience! Bon Jovi was my absolute favorite 80s band with Cinderella also being among my favorites, so, I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of both bands shows that evening. Wasn't the 1980s a truly wonderful time to be in your teens/early twenties?! Wow, I most certainly had a ball!!! 😛

My favorite cousin is ten years older than I, and she's the one who taught me all about that iconic decade full of incredible music! It remains my absolute FAVORITE era of music, and I'm partial to not only one or two, but various styles. Were you lucky enough to catch any concerts back then? If so, holler back and let me know. I'd like to hear about some of the shows you may have attended. As always, I most definitely DO intend to keep on rockin', just as you suggested!!! 😊

You mentioned in your reply to my first post that you were twenty-eight years-old at the time of Bon Jovi's Slippery When Wet tour. And as I had stated I was one month shy of my nineteenth birthday in March, 1987, I knew you had to be about ten years older than I, dependant upon the actual month of your birth. Anyway, I guess I'm actually a child of the '60s, as I was born in 1968, but I also definitely consider myself a child of the '80s due to that particular time as being my high school years. Oh, by the way, I LOVE The Stones and I absolutely ADORE The Beatles!!! Again, what other shows might have you caught, at any point during your life? Just curious. Oh yeah, I meant to mention that I'm also a HUGE fan of Jimi! Gosh, how could I have ever forgotten about JIMI?!?! LOL! 😅
