This is nice TD, kinda hard to get used to but very rewarding when you do, one thing the video didn't mention (I think) is that the russian 7.3 line up is really good with the T-54, Zsu-57-2, IS-3, T-44-100 and Bmp-1.

This vehicle is surprisingly survivable. I rarely get oneshot in this thing and usually able to retaliate soon afterwards because for some reason people never take out the gunner first. I usually take the HE rather than the apfsds due to it just annihilating anything it lands on reliably

Ideal for players who enjoy the Chi-Ha Long Gun but want to play Russian rather than Japanese high tiers :D

Big glass cannon. I meet this alot with the T-54. They hit REALLY hard and random squad of these help me alot especially in uptiers of even up to 8.3.

Another really good thing about this vehicle is that the commander can fire the gun and for some reason the gunner is on the other side of the turret. Usually commander is behind the gunner bet he's behind the loader?? Who isnt even needed cuz its an autoloader. Its so survivable

This tank is for roleplay as sniper, the best sniper on battlefield. I buy it like 2 days ago, totaly worth it for me. If u have some problem for rangefindig there's custom sights.

man i got the obj120 way back and i remember the heat/fs being the best damn round just cus how it acted with the obj120 it was like a huge he that could actually pen anything it saw. if you shot the turret it would break the cannon even if you werent close and it could possibly even splash down and kill driver and so on i think you get it but damn i miss that

Has fast HE meme round that can 1 shot everything in game. A lot of fun to play and send HE across the map.

I bring this vehicle into my 8.7 lineup but no further, any further and itll fight very powerful vehicles who all have stabilizers and you dont, its a good sniper at a high br but thats it. Night battles (if you uptier this vehicle) will be the bane of your existence and you will suffer, but the big upside to this vehicle is that fabulous cannon that is pretty much a 9.0 gun, and thus I'd say only uptier this vehicle to about 8.3 maybe 8.7 as night battles will be rare and the gun will treat you nicely most maps (city maps are also the bane of your existence in this thing) Great video tho!

you should have mentioned the HE which is very fast and blap anything from existence via overpressure

If you have this thing then you can actually bring it to top tier, I usually kill 2-3 top tier tanks before going down, it's just a giant meme that can somehow fight alongside mbts pretty well

As an obj 120 player in arcade mode, I’m able to line it up with BMP-2M and these 2 are beasts. BMP-2M have ATGMs that can penetrate up to 1200mm, and obj 120 can penetrate T-72 with ERA in the front with APFSDS. (BR 9,7) It’s basically the Soviet version of light tank of the west, running up to 70kmh. It’s worth it lol.

This used to be great, along with the IS-6. It's big, slow & ponderous. The meta is now much more modern, fast & nimble vehicles with high rates of fire, heatfs, missiles & rockets. The big old dinosaurs rarely cope well in this environment.

The HEAT-FS is God tier round. It will kill any tank, at any range. 11.0 or the maus. It does not matter. It's like you used a nuclear warhead as a heat round. Like, sure the penetration will be immense. But wtf, the explosion will just outright kill whatever you hit anyways. THIS is what happens when you use the heat-fs round of the TARAN, aka the Obj120. Just to put things into perspective here. The Obj120 HE round has a explosive mass of 5.9kg, and wrecks any armour its even close to, if its less than 49mm thick. The HEAT-FS round has a explosive mass of 5.85kg... So its explosion alone will wreck everything. Then we have the heat penetrator that will go through 380mm of armour. Remember that the 3OF26 was deemed so op it disrupted the top tier gameplay? It only had 47mm of penetration back then (42mm now). Yeah, its still very much usable today. But the HEAT-FS of Obj120 still has around 49mm of penetration of it's explosion alone. So you could say that the HEAT-FS on the Obj120 is even better than the 3OF26 pre nerf.

Still struggling with it. Aiming needs work due to the very staight flight path of the projectile with very little drop. And I am still struggling to pen enemies.

Well I normally get about 1 kill and two kill assists per battle with 4-5 deaths. Since I have the 120 I can get 5 kills, with only the 120.

Gaijin made the HEAT of this thing useless compared to what it was in 2019. I had to put 4 rounds into a light tank to kill it via the shaped charge. I prefer the BMP.

A very good vehicle, but I'd call it hard to learn hard to master. It's huge, thin skinned, and is a cas magnet. But it's got the best range tier for tier in the game easily and deals great damage. But since it's restricted to long range maps and 7.3 to 7.7 doesn't always get those large maps I wouldn't pick it up. I don't think the benefits of this tank destroyer outweigh it's downsides for the price it's at.

FV4005 at 7.0 has the largest gun in the entire game for tanks, and the AVRE also has a 165mm gun
