he's not really helping anything. the cat is in heat, and the male knows. during mating, females are someone resistant to the males at first, and even during the mating the female will often cry loudly as the male's penis has spines. this is normal behavior. if the concern is with keeping the cat population down, the female needs to be spayed, separating them for a few minutes does nothing. as soon as he left this cat, it probably mated with a male.

I have a stray cat in my frontyard, she's quite small and cute. I make a shelter for her in the corner on my frontyard. She never went too far, she even following me and my dog on the morning walk. Then every night since maybe a week ago she attacked by stray male cats. I've spotted two or maybe three male cats, the gray ones, tabby ones (i always went outside when i heard the commotion). Unlike the video, these male cats are big, almost the size of my dog. I guess this about territory of the stray cats here and i'm fully aware that the cat which i take care got scared to death that she will run and hide under my car. Lets see if they dare to attack her again, i'm ready with my water sprayer.

I think I've seen him in another video with an injury to his eye. He so obviously gets into scraps with other males but always seems to come off worse the poor fella. Gah, this is why it's best to get cats neutered and spayed when possible. When in heat, male cats can get really aggressive towards other cats while trying to mount them, which can be dangerous when not in a safe environment where breeding can be regulated, and puts the cats in a bad position to have to rear children in the wild. Thank you for protecting them.

Here is the reason behind the bully boy's behavior: Clearly the sweet female cat sees the lovely human as the alpha male of the pack since he consistently provides food. The bully boy sees the kind human as his competition hence why he persists in trying to mate with the sweet female cat first. It's a claim of territory and hierarchy which is completely normal with cats of all breeds including lions. Even the bully boy sees the kind human as part of the pack since all the wild cats come together around the food source.

N-no… dude, you’re wrong on so many levels. The man recording the video didn’t protect shit. The female is in HEAT, fighting is the first stage of the feline mating process, if anything, this dudes just prolonging what would have happened the second he left, the cat doesn’t see him as competition, because he’s not being aggressive to the female.

I mean, your opinion included things like “bully” and other words that mean nothing to cats, as they don’t speak. Also, why would the human even be part of the pack of cats? This is probably his first time interact with those cats specifically, and I doubt they’d just let him in because he kicked one of the “bully” males (idk how the male that you claim is the bully is also part of the pack but it’s ok) away from a female.

Female cats choose their partners, heat or not. If a wrong Tom comes around, he can only dream. Had my short episode with cat breeding and believe me, if female cat feels bothered, busy or not in the mood, it's a no to mating. This cat was, for example, busy cuddling to hooman and didn't want to be bothered.
