The first Porsche in history to win the Le Mans 24 Hours in 1970. Step by step, build this magnificent 1/8 scale metal reproduction of the Porsche 917KH, designed as the 21st century competition car. It measures 53,6 x 25,4 x 11,5 cm and will weigh more then 6kg.

I agree that those stickers over the lights don't look nice on the model. It looks sleek and pretty without them but they make it look wrong somehow when they are on.

If light guards are meant to be on then they should have shaped them better as the gap would do my ocd in badly so personally I would leave of as I would cut to fit

Great minds think alike! I'm not going to apply the headlight protectors. They subtract from the overall look of the car. I am leaving the protective film though on the headlights to protect them during the build. The windshield wipers I'm leaving off until the last moment. And, like you I am not applying the passenger side door decal until I receive the bottom skirt. I want to make sure if the skirt comes pre-painted or we apply a decal. AND I also put a dab of glue on the door lock. When testing the lock once on the door, my finger slipped off the button and it pinged off! Luckly, I found it and glued it in. (I also found that the pin that goes in the door lock button, slips out. Gluing the button on that pin solves that problem) But I do find opening the door a bit difficult. I found that slipping a toothpick (cocktail stick) in the small opening next to the lock helps pry up the door enough to open it. I'm 3-boxes away from completing my build from IXO - you'll finish yours before me. I'm anxious to see Agora's Pack 12! (The top half of the 20 decal I did use Micro Set, but I also used Tamiya MarkFit Strong, and for extra protection I applied 2-coats of Tamiya X-22 Clear.

You know I just thought of something. The hood with the wingnuts; with that secured in place it may be difficult to attach the body to the chassis with the engine parts up so close. And the air intake vents installed next to the headlights, I'm guessing will need to be connected to the hoses we installed that are connected to the wheels - that's going to be interesting!

Sorry Wayne I don't really get why the Decals are not already done for us at the factory? Edit Right tea time then back to watch the rest of Phil's hour long Jake Sully from Avatar video. Got about half way through and then had to have a rest from it, by watching this video.... See you for now, (hope that your dad is doing ok, hope he likes the train set) take care!

The factory applied graphics are not a decal. They're a process called tempo printing. The reason why they didn't want to tampo print the rest of the graphic was to save themselves money. You are correct that the "decal" should have been done at the factory and not by us. We're already paying enough money for the kit, and that should have been already done. After all, we are already the factory worker assembling the kit. At least tampo print it so we don't need some cheapie decal sheet.

Agree with the ommission of the light covers. I'm trying to work out which part work to do have narrowed it down to this or the deagostini GT40 (I'm a sucker for gulf livery)! I think deagostini are dreadful idiots though so leaning more towards this one. Looks fantastiche!

Nope I’ve left mine off In time the sticker Will shrink & leave a sticky outline... so for that reason the lights stay as they are

Also...if your doing the IXO Porsche...you do not get the parts to put on the driver's side door... In their box 22... It comes in 23... So Agora Models are a little bit ahead of IXO... Again remember that the decal on the driver's door can be lined up using the passenger side door...but ... The decal for the driver's door is a hair smaller in the white roundel then the passenger side... So if you do a basic off of the passenger side it's about a 1/16 smaller on each edge... Just use the bottom of the doors for the matching... And also ...the light on the right side won't be in the same place because it's set higher up on the door panel... Lastly... The door windows were actually bolted in from the inside so that the airflow wouldn't be disturbed over the door and the pressure pushes in not out... So technically there should be no screws on the window... Just a solid blue 🔵 edging... But that's up to people if they want to change it or not... It does look cool with the screws ...but it's technically not right...lololol Best regards...

I don't like the look with the stickers over the lights, It doesn't look right at all. the only reason to use them is for the protection of the lights against scratches. the car is looking great

In stage 82, the air deflector above the Gulf badge is missing and looking at the the rest of that small panel it has clearly snapped off, did Agora send you a replacement part as it is perfect further on in the video, I only ask as mine is poorly made and detached on the right side so no doubt going to come off completely

Wayne...you put the stickers on the wrong sides...lolol 🤣🤣🤣🤣 You flipped them ... Just look at the curve of the light and the point runs inward not outward....lololol You got them completely on wrong...that's why they don't work...lolol 🤣🤣🤣🤣
